He’s just salty about taking the lump sum of cash instead of royalties when selling the rights for the games.

Selling vaporware to investors just by adding AI to the name.

EndeavorOS with KDE is basically steamOS without restrictions. I’ve been running it fine for years.

What can we do to help?

Vulkan and Proton on Mac or bust.

This is why Mitch McConnell wanted to pack the courts.

It ended up being a bad call but at the time Android only had 2 years in the market and trusting the leading OS company to manufacture a proper mobile product wasn’t a crazy idea. Microsoft just completely mismanaged the whole phone thing and took down Nokia with it.

If I remember correctly the approach was so anti-google that you couldn’t even watch youtube on Windows Phones.

This is either the final nail on the coffin for playing league on linux or it will motivate linux devs to figure out a way around it. I don’t play league but I did enjoy playing TFT with friends always on Linux.

Computer use, millennials always had computers but Gen Z grew up with tablets and smartphones.

If I remember correctly Disney lost a lot of money on that movie. I liked it though.

Helldivers 2 works on Linux even with the anti cheat unlike Valorant so there must be some differences there.

Just like that cheaper non-lidar Roomba with room mapping technology, it will get lost.

Maybe the sales figures were less than expected and will use this as an excuse to the board.

Boeing advertises the 737 Max by saying that it works just like the old 737 so you don’t need to retrain your pilots and save money. The issue a few years ago with that is that these planes are not 737 so when some new issue happens the pilots don’t know how to deal.

I’ve had the opposite experience, Steam Link app loses packets frequently and Moonlight works so smooth that you barely notice it’s streaming. I’m running Linux under Wayland so that could definitely be a factor.

I once played Terraria for more than 5 hours on battery and it still had battery leftover.

I wonder how this correlates to low use of WhatsApp in the US. In South America and Europe WhatsApp is used heavily and looks the same no matter the platform but none of my US friends have WhatsApp so they rely on iMessage instead. None of them want to be seen sending green bubbles in the chat. I’ve even seen this as a side plot in a teen tv show that my wife was watching.

We’ll have to wait and see if they get away with it. I may be OK paying more if I already had my mind set on going and didn’t know about the price hike but if the experience is not worth it I won’t visit again.

Went to Epcot in November 2022 and it was the time when I paid the most and the park looked like a husk of its former self. Now I will actively avoid the parks for the foreseeable future.

There is no advantage to games and average applications preferring Wayland over X11 -- only severe performance and unusability regressions right now. Thus, we must revert this change until fifo-v1 and commit-timing-v1 are released and at least in a stable release for major compositors."

Does this mean I’ve been getting reduced performance for using Wayland when playing games? I haven’t noticed any difference but I haven’t been benchmarking.

On EndeavorOS I haven’t had issues with a Vega64 and now with a 6800XT. I followed the AMD Gpu guides from Arch wiki to get everything up and running but that was back when I started the build with the Vega 64. After the upgrade I didn’t even need to touch anything and all non anti-cheat games work quite well. Maybe I got lucky though.

TLDR you get the same experience of playing an emulated game with the added satisfaction of paying a company that wants to nickel and dime you.

It definitely works if you are willing to tinker but we are a low priority and anything that breaks takes a long time to fix. There’s even another project called Envision which runs better than SteamVR but isn’t as easy to use yet.

Since Elon I don’t think Twitter has been thinking about the long term effects of their actions. Everyone predicted the blue checkmark fiasco but they went ahead with it anyway so this doesn’t surprise me.

In other parts of the world Hulu content is already on Disney+

I’ve been much happier with my Roborock than my Roomba. It definitely seems smarter.

Check out Envision which uses Monado to replace SteamVR. It’s a lot smoother for me but requires some extra setup.

In games where combat uses the bumpers a lot I bind the back buttons to that. For the rest of the games it depends on the what I find annoying to do repeatedly and end up mapping that to a back paddle.

For example on Breath of the Wild the back paddle was run which allowed me to run with one hand.

The one time I want the piped video and the bot isn’t here yet lol.

Yeah unless the car went blasting through a barrier I’m not sure we can blame “AI” on this one.

I agree, maybe OpenAI has been bleeding money and the board had no idea until now.

I remember setting up a TeamSpeak server back in 2012 before Discord took over. Worked for us at the time.

I did this like a year ago using ‘btrfs-convert’ it was a seamless experience. It even creates a snapshot of your existing partition for backup purposes.

You have too look at the voltage as well as the wattage. For example the MacBook Pro usb-c brick can’t charge the steam deck because the voltage scale differs. Steam deck needs 15v and even though the MacBook brick can output 20v when it scales down for the Steam Deck it has to go to 9v because it doesn’t support 15v.

I think this ties back to the original question. Gen Z is way more exposed to social media and therefore world news including propaganda at levels millennials never saw until adulthood. In the 90s you needed to watch the news or read the newspaper to know what was happening and if you missed it you would only know about it if it was broadcasted again. Nowadays we’re bombarded 24/7 with all kinds of news in the same place where you watch funny dog videos.

Not sure about this specific issue but whenever I had issues with EA games in the past I would nuke the compatdata for the game and that usually fixed it. Make sure to back up your save file if you do that.

Wow that was very cumbersome, this seems like a great update.

Woah, I don’t even know what to say. That was something else for sure.

Wait what?

What’s the reason for that? Did they add some new features to the game?

That was driving me and my friends crazy glad to know there’s a fix.
