In the early 2000s Ticketmaster began to really take off. The fees and extras really started to bother me. So I stopped going to any events that used them. Other than a few state/county fair events I haven't been to a concert since 2001. Because of Ticketmaster. I have no regrets either.

It is a public health crisis. Cops can't fix a public health crisis. It's not their job, they are not trained to do so. This was the heart of defund the police. Not to get rid of police but to redirect funds to agencies that are trained to fix non police problems.

As a North Dakota I'm surprised by the resignation. There is almost zero accountability here. The GOP and more so Maga has taken over. The DNC/NPL is basically dead here. The right gets free reign. ND is in a rough spot politically and I do not see a fix for decades. At one time we were a state that had to fend for itself and became a success story for socialist programs. Farmers coops, state bank and mill. Progressive prison system and produces top notch schools and exported highly educated people. It is all reversing because of greed driven by oil and gas. 90-95% of imaging cost is the technical fee. An ultrasound is usually 0.5 to 1.0 RVUs roughly. So let's say 1. The RVU rate for radiologists right now is around $45-60 an RVU. So of the $2k for the ultrasound, a Radiologist will make about $50 of it.

A lot of us in healthcare stayed pretty stable. I don't know of any that did "better", but other than elective stuff, day to day dropped only a little. About 9-10% of Americans are in healthcare. I do know a lot of delivery services did well too.
