I guess she’s a Spanish chess player now. And that’s how brain drain works.

I’m a new Linux user since the start of the year. Windows has become so stressful to use for a pc I just want to game on. Before I was stuck using windows, but proton has changed the game so much I don’t feel like I’m missing anything now using Linux.

ChatGPT has also helped a lot by giving me all the technical support for Linux I could ever need. It’s taught me a ton while also helping me with all my problems.

I remember being a dumb & horny kid and Photoshopping my crush’s face onto a porn photo. And even then I felt what I did was wrong and never did it again.

There’s only two reasons an app should be a subscription.

  1. The app requires constant server connection that is an active cost to the developer.

  2. The app requires constant updates for maintaining functionality/ relevancy.

There are a few subscriptions I pay for (Nabu casa for one). There’s real merit in the subscription model, but it should only be about 1% of things not 80%.

This will finally put mount chiliad conspiracies to rest.

The dubs vs subs argument made more sense when dubs were generally low effort trash. Now dubbing is done very well. As someone who can read subtitles fine, a dub is always more a relaxing/ less cerebral experience where I can focus that much more on the content.

Except singing of course. Don’t dub songs.

So when twitter actually dies will people finally start using mastodon then? Or they too eager to use another billionaire owned social media and migrate to threads?

Soon public bathrooms in America can have birth certificate dispensers for all the miscarriages that are apparently corpses now.

For those who think Canada should suspend visas from India too, most Indians going to Canada on visas are students and people travelling for work. The route to citizenship in Canada is fairly streamlined so most Indian residents are already citizens, which by Indian law requires them to surrender their Indian citizenship. So the vast majority of Canadians getting Indian visas are visiting family in India. Meaning blocking visas from India would have a much different message as it would effect a much different effect.

This only works if you abolish capitalism as well so people don’t need to revenue of IP.

The mistake was going to Toronto. Pearson airport is so astonishingly poorly managed for such an expensive project. Always avoid Toronto.

Unfortunately Reddit is almost too big at this point to fail. The fact that official communities exist over there is enough to keep them afloat. But Reddit as we all knew it is dead. I was always worried about Reddit going public effecting it’s quality, and the staff have only confirmed my fears. Luckily Reddit offers nothing anyone else can do, and jumping ship to a competitor had never been easier.

Long live the Fediverse.

As a woman into tech I’ll chime in. We seem to have a mild case of ignorant as shit. My friends are all completely blind to tech and piracy. Now I don’t blame them because they’ve been taught by capitalist culture to care about pointless things since birth, but god does it hurt sometimes and make me want to claw my eyes out. Patience and education will solve the gap.

It’s not your computer, it’s Microsoft’s. That’s the message I get from using windows.

The sand worms are so dry and dusty that water hurts them. Their valued waste is literal powder. Why do men want to put their dicks in this?

What do I use this for? Do I install it on my NAS or my gaming pc?

My best guess is this is a self hosted network storage for games and other computers run the games from there? Or do they download the game from there? Is it a way to store game saves? Does it have any use for emulators like yuzu?

Sorry for all the questions, I’m only asking because the software looks really interesting but I just can’t figure out its uses.

My fridge has been on since it was plugged in. It’s also offline.

But my fridge has a little spot just for the eggs. They look so cozy there. I actually don’t know where I’d keep something as fragile as eggs outside my fridge in the kitchen. Genuine question where do you keep your eggs safe? Do they often break?

I wish golf wasn’t a sport of the elite. It’s such a fun. Whacking a ball as far as you can is so satisfying and then combo that with an all day walk through a garden. We must revive golf as the every man’s sport!

As a Canadian I’ve sent a formal letter to the CBC asking them to do the same. I’d suggest other Canadians join me and send formal letters to CBC on their site if you want something like this here in Canada. Personally, I really like how BBC did this and would love others to follow.

I keep remembering the Apple Watch release in parallel to the vision pro’s release. The first Apple Watch was so awkward and had no real purpose other than an extra notification display. But over the years the Apple Watch found its footing through iteration and iteration and is now a great health tracker with a bunch of cool uses.

In 6 or so years the Apple vision headsets will be awesome… but so should competing VR/AR.
