There is a saying that if you have 9 people at a table and a nazi takes a seat you have ten nazis at a table. Inaction against damaging retoric is bad, but actively voting for it is worse. I know the whole nazi thing is very charged right now, but that isn't the point.
If you vote for a republican than you are voting for another person in congress to push the party line. They may not agree with stopping bills that are good for the environment, but if they want to get reelected than they will vote how the party wants when it really matters.
Any vote for a republican is a vote for general public life to be worse for everyone. Your taxes will go up, trump made sure his tax hikes would all hit during the Biden administration, that isn't an accident. And you will get less use out of your tax money with Republicans in charge. So what do you gain by voting for them?
Okay, I listen to a fair amount of history podcasts, so let's see what I can pull out of my head for fun:

George Bush senior crashed into German electrical lines and flew the plane back to base causing an international incident. He never received punishment for this and continued to fly for the military. He also did a bunch of drug smuggling and no one cared.
Look into pretty much any time people wanted to explore an area for the first time and there was most likely a massive loss of life and money. Australia and America seem to have the funniest stories of people's attempts to name every river and mountain they see.

Yes, that is accurate, they won't become a human baby. But neither will a pregnancy of a woman who can not afford to be pregnant. Studies show legal and illegal abortions happen at about the same rate, just not safey. Usually when abortions are legal for a bit the rate of abortions actually drops more than when illegal for a time.

A large issue with the US system is we have no left wing party. We have the Cia and fbi attacking leftist ideas across the world and domestic. And we have no option to vote for a party that says, "hey, we have enough, let's make sure all of our citizens can eat" it shouldn't be such a revolutionary thought.
They could write a 300 page book of these short stories and it would sell like hit cakes if brought to a publisher with a brain. This stuff is popular on reddit because it is popular content. Content creators just have not been making money on their work.

Sounds mostly to me like the free market working as intended. You have a single state expressing the majority of American's values, so everyone wants to live there. California's portion of the GDP reflects what the concentration of blue voters does for the economy.
I recently did this in the shower. I found there were spots I was not cleaning as throughly as I should and hadn't noticed as I was always thinking about whatever shower thought. But without eye sight I had to relearn to shower a little and it allowed me to pay more attention to what I'm actually doing.
My whole life I have experimented with what losing a sense would be like and which I would rather have lost should that occur. Mostly between sight and hearing, which I recently found out that noise canceling headphones are tge greatest thing in the world. So being overly stimulated is something I never noticed, yet experienced often.
I also walk around my house sometimes, not near the stairs, with my eyes closed just to see how well my mind can keep me oriented. It usually doesn't last very long.
Maybe if the dems never win the Republicans won't have anyone else to blame anymore and they would lose popularity and we could get over them I'm twenty years instead of them gaining steam. Maybe. But climate change is gonna wreck havoc before we try anything other than weak resistance.
