It really is wild to me that the government isn't working to put restrictions on working hours. It seems that focusing on the benefits of having children, not focusing on building more marriages seems to be a miss from the government.

For me the biggest issue is user engagement and missing communities.

I enjoyed /all to see news and discussion about that news, which isn't really a thing on lemmy yet.

And i enjoyed small communities for the discussions and posts which are also not really a thing on lemmy yet.

Google has a call screening functionality on phones already

150miles is no where close to enough range for people who travel regularly. In a 3 hour trip I can do 150 miles. Depending on weather, battery degrading, and elevation that trip now requires charging multiple times which just isn't acceptable. Let alone if you were trying to do a real road trip where you drive 1000+ miles, the amount of charge time is insane. And I want an EV for those road trips, extremely convenient for car camping.

Switched to cloudflare. I was already planning on it but I was waiting for my renewal. This forced my hang.

This is why I switched to Patagonia, quality stuff, great customer service, great warranty.

Sounds very not totalitarian

Yeah until they put it in a car that is for sale and I can buy at my local dealer, I ain't believing it.

It's my understanding a lot of new things you see on cars were mandated by law for safety, or will be soon. Backup cameras were brought into law in 2008, but not required until 2018.

Have to fight higher education, because they won't be able to control their base as easy

So what we say ah ha we caught you doing something bad... And move on? What's the point of they don't get fined or punished?

I really want to hear the answer to this

Threads is exactly showing the biggest problem with anything Fediverse. It's simpler for the user so it will be accepted. The amount of people I've already seen join is huge compared to mastodon.

Because tracing dye is originally green. It's just a happy coincidence that it ended up working for Saint Patricks day.

If there is a minimum age in government, there needs to be a maximum. I'm over these 70 year olds running things.

I always forget how important quarters are in the business world.

Except these posts don't fall under free speech

At one point I agreed but not anymore. AI is getting better by the day and already is useful for tons of industries. It's only going to grow and become smarter. Estimations already expect most energy producted around the world will go to AI in our lifetime.

Definitely a nicely written explanation. Though I still feel it will be too much for the general population to understand and adopt.

This also hurts the worker...

The better option is don't tip, force restaurants to pay more or lose employees.

Most super computer systems have been doing away with hhds for the speed and energy efficiency causing ssds and tape to be the two forms of storage.

Typically whenever I notice an app I decide to delete or every time I do a fresh install, which is when I get a new phone or a new version of Android comes out

This post really needs a tldr

I think a big portion of it is the quality of the content and comments. Just not as much on there, and not as many of the small communities I would check.

So it was you took my normal username haha

Switch to cloudflare, they recently started with domains

I think lemmy has a lot of growing pains before it can become a full fledge alternative for the masses. Updates need to happen, and a sustainable business model needs to come about for admins to cover costs

Too much money. I feel bad for the instance devs because sync had probably made more money than them

What was it?

What does contacting the ACCC do exactly?

Correct but that's only if you enable the remote connection through ubiquity, if you have that turned off its all local.

My understanding is that it's all or nothing, but I'm not complete sure.

Wild they are still running ads

Crossing my fingers, excited for the update

Why don't you go host it yourself then? And open it up to everyone.

I get that this probably revolves around saving money and not developing a full website and app, but man do I hate it.

I refuse to sign in to view content. I will just move on.

It's an interesting read since the cause of the issue was something to do with a database change that caused an overlap of groups.

And what does that matter? Millions of requests cost

Finally, it feels insane that this has taken so long.
