They took inspiration from the Prussians before them. It wasn't all HB originality.

They took inspiration from the prussians before them.

And those became ww1 uniforms which inspired the ww2 outfits, because it was clean cut and looked good on parade. It inspired uniformity and their own history that the allies "tarnished" by winning and ruining their economy (that gave rise to hitler)

Now we shitpost on the funny mouse website!

I know a guy who works on Pinball machines as his profession. He sells em too.

Really enjoyed Skylab that he repaired. Seeing the way Electromechanicals run everything so...binary...is fascinating

The ps5 and Switch will probably be my last consoles. I will just find ways yo mod the Switch when support dies for it to keep games on the go, and when psn is cut for ps5 that will be it. PC will be my way forward. I won't put up with this "pay for internet twice and still not own your games" stuff after these generations.

Attempting to get a date in the current US scene was hard enough without this petty bullshit. While it was certainly disheartening to see another one slip away, knowing I was dodging a bullet was worth the time. I did enjoy (only once) getting "ugh green bubbles? Srs?" And sliding back "yeah sorry I have a Fold#, iPhones r for brokies" and blocking the contact

(People are free to own iPhone and you're free to make your own descicions or debate the merits of android/iphone, I am more just intolerant of the fan elitism - not iPhone owners in general, hope you have a nice day)

And pc always last because they can only sell it to them once and they'll have it until steam/epic dies.

Something something respect the creators vision when I agree with it?

People were so happy MultiVersus happened, failing to realize the sheer acquisitions and monopolistic behaviour it takes to own so many IPs. How, when weaponised, it commands so many big names.

And now it's not working for people, because they're pulling the shows from PS.

Leaks? My brother in christ they are in the trailer, they're coming to the BP.

The general public didn't have access to them for almost 2 years. Ps5 and Series are functionally 1 year (maybe year and a half) into wide adoption.

It all looks great. That's kinda the expectation tbh. It does look good, but all games "look good" at this stage. This gives rise to the other question about can it look good and be stable, even on lower end hardware (ps4/x1 and mid/low pcs) for release.

But a video is a video. I realize it's so early and am not knocking it for lacking gameplay footage, just that generating a video in-engine is not representative of gameplay, or gameplay elements.

I like how at the time we hadn't even considered the entire slab would be a screen, like the memes still have the home button at the bottom. I get that it's a meme but still.

We also probably assumed the headphone jack would never go away either so.

Why yes! My product the Google iPixel ZFold 15 is a gaming console! You would think it's a phone because of the calling and phone-like features however it is exempt from right-to-repair because it plays Genshin with more fraps than any other gizmo and doohicky in anyone's pocket in this hemisphere!

And you would be remiss to assume my Grapple ThinkPad 2025 is a mere laptop! Nay! A gaming console it is! It can't even run the Chrome Dinosaur for 35 seconds without running out of RAM and is really built for content creation and the school setting in mind, but it is absolutely built for gaming and also omitted from right-to-repair!!

I dislike stupid shit that wealthy people do. People generally also do not sympathize with a nameless faceless entity. "70k people" is not something I can personally relate to. (As opposed to headlines like "kid with cancer" that normally gets sympathy.)

Additionally, there was all the warning signs this festival was going to be a disaster and people spent thousands of dollars on tickets anyway. Much like the submarine these people have to have someone come help them, which yet again, takes for the form of state resources. Once again, the American taxpayer is footing the bill helping save rich people of all ages from their own hubris.

Thats a hell of an escalation lmao.

"Believe it or not STRAIGHT to devil posession!"

And you need a safe place to charge it. Like a garage. I can't afford a house so why would I buy a Nissan leaf (any cheap ev)? I can't just run an extention cord out an open window. I also can't just leave a wireless ground pad charger plugged in unattended outside. It's all linked, nothing happens in a bubble.

Found it by the "helens shazzy" https://www.jonandvinnys.com/menu I don't live in LA so everything I see is based solely on the website. I read zero google reviews.l and just dove right in. TLdr -op you got finessed. Stop eating here my guy.

It seems by their website that fee is ONLY mentioned on the wine page (also based on this receipt and op statement, this fee is EXCLUSIVE to wine buyers for some reason) where they also charge a $50 corkage fee (most normal restaurants are 20-40), and also stock rotates "so frequently we can't maintain an updated list" which seems silly, but maybe stock at all 3 locations changes often enough that this really would would be a pain. The restaurant itself is....all over the place. Italian, and breakfast foods? But also there's Helen's Winery attached? And on weekends they act as a bakery? And they have "pizza classes" for $650? Idk they have several "sister" type restaurants that are either owned by the same owner or its some kind of franchising thing, but they're all equally VERY expensive for the food you get. Very upscale. For example [buttermilk pancakes, salted butter, maple syrup 16.25] compared to IHOP "chicken and pancakes" for $14 where you get not just 2 pancakes and butter, but 2 drumsticks. ADDITIONALLY on the Wine page "Modifications are politely declined." what does this even mean? No changes to wine? Or no modifications to your MENU? Dawg if I'm paying you 20.50 for a rigatoni, you're not putting "broccolini" in it.This shit ain't mom's house where I go to bed hungry if I don't like it. I sit at the big kids table and get a big kid fork.

For those just reading the slip, these are indeed all full dishes (not just single line items), in LA where everything costs more. Overall 0/10 I wouldn't eat here based on all this above, before even being infuriated by the "we pass the bill to you" shtick. I'm mildly infuriated just reading through this website.

Curious. You speak fervently of your constant sexual encounters with my mother.

Yet you also seem predisposed to share how her appearance is grotesque, and her body mass rivals that of marine animals, that her odor is extreme, suggesting per your own words that she is unwashed for several decades.

Perchance, is this your sexual preference and you merely project it upon dearest mother mine?

"Least buggy" lmao. So it's still riddled with bugs then?

I'm glad to know that in 2023 you can have Elden Ring and Starfield cost the same budget, and will ask the same store shelf price. One of these is hailed as the "Least buggy" game the studio has ever managed to squirt out after selling the same fucking game 9 times in TWELVE YEARS. Its competition is celebrated for being a market leader for "you die in 3 hits lol". (And also lore in their games but that's beside the point)

I dont want starfield to fail, I want Bethesda to un-assfuck itself now that they're not run by Howard and make a great game worth the money. Zenimax has no reason to turn this game into Skyrim in Space unless Microsoft says to.

Ferrari has some similar bullshit, but you agree to it in a contract when you buy the car. If you refuse they simply don't sell you the car.

(Ferrari chooses you, not the other way around)

Thanks friend, I wasn't sure I could fit more jpg in there /)

And the profitability has skyrocketed. The videogame industry is now one of the largest insudtries on the planet. A big driver has been normalisation of after-purchase items. Console players now pay to unlock their collar to the internet (ps+ and XBlive). Microtransactions add to this, and now battlepasses want $10+ every 50-90 days. Lootboxes normalizing near-gambling with overwatches success was a huge bar-lift in profitability expectations for shareholders.

Special editions are also hitting $90 and higher, plus those other expenditures. Ask "the gamers tm" and they'll tell you you have to buy a special edition for $120 or you're not a real fan anyway. Starfield has a $300 version. The Digital Premium doesn't even come with the GAME! It's another $35 after you already gave Microsoft $70.

Additionally, the work to make a new game has decreased. Assets are able to be salvaged from one engine to the next reducing the amount of work to make a game in UE6 after it was on UE5. the workforce has matured and can be taught as a class so there's not nearly as many "self taught" making half a game. Roller Coaster Tycoon was made almost entirely by one dude. Obviously re-using assets is smart. But then to say you "built the game from the ground up" is false. Elden Ring was even praised for it

Marketing budgets have fuckin EXPLODED. A "Rule of Thumb" for indie devs is to spend HALF your budget on just marketing. Destiny allegedly spent 2.5Γ— what they spent on development, for marketing. Publishing studios didn't used to spend this much. "For every dollar on the game, spend another .25 to .50 on marketing"

Buying power has gone DOWN since ps1. You think I'm joking but federal minimum wage in the US is still 7.25. In 1994 (launch of ps1). It was 4.25 - adjusted for inflation thats $8.43. Meaning if you made minimum wage then, you'd be making more than minimum wage now, effectively. People are fucking broke and game companies want MORE money for games.

In 1994 when you bought a PS1 game you got THE WHOLE GAME. That was it. There was no merch drop pip-boy for the special edition. There was no Day-One patch. There was no "pay to get multiplayer". There was no in-game shop to buy skins for the characters. All these features were intentionally cut to resell to consumers post-launch.

Games cost less to make now, but budgets went up. Buying power is down. Please stop defending corporate bullshit excuses about wanting more money, forever.

That's not really a fair comparison though. They all handle and fire different. This piece of shit is still a piece of shit, but collecting different guns is more akin to "I participate in 10,000 point fights with my choice of Orks or Blueberry Spacemarines" than toasters.

Noone needs that but that's a hobby.

Slowly just buying games on pc so I can cut my dependence on the Playstation. Paying twice for internet is so dumb. The ps5 and switch will likely be my last consoles.

I refuse to accept $70 as the new norm as companies boast about record profits, while indulging in layoffs. All while the average consumer has less money than ever before to even buy them.

I do it in our (largish) discord server because, quite frankly, the trash won't take itself out, and I like the community we have cultivated. Everyone wants a well moderated community, where people use the right channels for what theyre named, and don't come into other channels and start spamming Nwords and other slurs. Everyone wants an unbiased moderation staff that follows a set of their own rules so people don't get banned unfairly. And in my eyes that's what we do. (I wont speak for other places on discord, just us) I like to be part of the group keeping chat clean for others to find people to play with. I enjoy talking to users and the conversations happening, so why not give a little time back to keep it that way?
