Geez, they couldn't write an article about the strike and the issues rather than how "runway-ready" she looks in a t-shirt?

If he didn't already have someone in the wings to replace a seriously ailing 90 year old, then I'm going to consider him incompetent.

Maybe he's just really not good at running a social media company.

So...were there children in the audience? Sounds like she could be forced to register as a sex offender under some American laws.

That is truly a terrible idea, and Amazon should be liable since they do exercise control over what they sell (which I know, because I have two books for sale there).

If you want this to stop, force your representatives to finally vote this into law.

Well, she campaigned on being a fascist and made a number of racist claims. But after she was elected she toned it down and even said there was no room for classic fascism in Italy.

So, really, no one should like her.

Who the fuck does he think is. The US has zero rights to do anything like this.

So I guess that's basically an admission that he violated his oath.

Makes me wonder what absolute horrors Elon is getting ahead of, with Twitter's rename.

She originally claimed she was kicked out because she was too enthusiastic about the show.

He is responsible for the deaths of children.

In other words, substantially less than he inherited from his father.

They imagine this place where only rich people live and work, but don't think to the next step of who does the things that rich people don't care to do...so they'll bring in poor people and then eventually complain bitterly that they either can't get what they want done at poverty wages, or that their local exclusive society is falling apart.

In short: there is no valid reason for the ultra-rich to exist. The rising tide doesn't lift all boats: it sinks the boat that have been tethered to the sea floor.

I'm about 90% Lemmy, 9% Reddit, 1% Tribel right now.

As soon as Lemmy has enough people and communities to keep me always reading something new that interests me, I'll be 100%. I've already abandoned subreddits that I modded. There's little to keep me going back.

Kid wanted to be tiktok famous.

We homeschool in Canada and have done so long before the pandemic. Technically, what we do is distance education, as my kid has teachers, a proper curriculum, assignments, etc. She's absolutely thrived with this, where rural public schools were a nightmare of bullying and neglect.

But here there are rules and real requirements. Based on Oliver's video, homeschooling in the US is an utter shitshow. The anti-intellectualism in the US is incredibly bad.

So they've decided to be terrorists.

This is a greater overall danger than many of you seem to realize. Their leader was a face and figurehead, the real power of Wagner mercenaries lies with the lieutenants. Without him, they are likely to splinter and become more brutal. Some are likely to be hired by the anti-Putin oligarchs, while others may align with Putin. This may result in Russia having to pull out of Ukraine, but that's not the end of this. Even if Putin is slammed out of power, that just results in an internal power struggle with deadly consequences. Those will not stay inside their borders.

Trust corporations to ruin something people enjoy.

I hear it was the South African Shitbeetle.

Far better than the shitheads that add nothing to the world and become billionaires through financial manipulation and employee exploitation.

Zombo.com. You can do anything at Zombo.com.

You mean the guy who replaced the Italian Mafia in NYC with the Russian Mafia, then avoided investigation of that because of 9/11, then threw everything behind a president with very questionable connections to Russia, and took several mystery trips to Russia...might have been compromised by the Russians?

Shocked!

Reality has a liberal bias.

This is the right way to solve paralysis, not Elon-killing-monkeys.

When you turn onto a multi-lane road, you turn into the closest lane. THEN you signal and change lanes. This is a big cause of accidents.

FWIW, I'm autistic (officially) and no autistic people I know are right-leaning.

I'm unfortunately built somewhat like Trump, I guess. I'm 5'10" so a little shorter, but I'm a fair bit stronger (rural life).

I weigh 250. There's no way he's less than that.

The one good thing is that it sticks around an extraordinarily long time.

I don't feel bad for deleting my account with 120,000+ karma.

Wow. Could you have stated this any more like a douchebag?

If nothing else, Zelensky knows he has to toe the American policy line. I don't blame him, really. It's self-protection.

It's so patently obvious when they pick on Biden for minor slips but gave Trump a pass for unintelligible word salad for so many years.

So, who are the up and comers? Not every company in the dotcom era died. Some grew very large and made a lot of people rich.
