This is why I recently switched back to Firefox.

I don't know why you got downvoted. It's literally impossible to become a billionaire without exploiting others.

95% seems a little low. I assume that it's closer to 99.9%.

Step 1: Disable Twitch adblocker.

Step 2: Log in to Twitch.

Step 3: Re-enable Twitch adblocker.

That's what worked for me.

It doesn't make any difference if you flush with the lid up. Poop particles will still go everywhere, even if the lid is down. There was a study on it that came out earlier this year.

Don't forget to turn on your body cam before clocking in!

I moved to a different instance about a month ago, after lemmy.world got hacked. I haven't had any issues on Midwest.social. I suggest other people do the same if they want Lemmy to be feasible in the long term. Get the fuck off Lemmy.world.

Here is a list of instances sorted by user count if anyone wants to move: https://fedidb.org/software/lemmy

I don't know about the Church of Satan, but the TST exists to mock religion, expose the hypocrisies of the religious, and promote human rights.

Swine flu?

I don't think that bots that post news articles are really an issue, as long as users aren't allowed repost the same article multiple times. The articles are going to get posted eventually. Bots can be more efficient at quickly posting breaking news.

My issue is more with bots that post comments pretending to be users; bots that steal content from other users; and bots that repost old content. These are the types of bots that negatively affect the user experience.

If it won't go through the washer then it doesn't deserve to survive.

"In 2022, J&J made $17.9 billion in profits, and its CEO received $27.6 million in compensation. That year, the company spent $17.8 billion on stock buybacks, dividends, and executive compensation, while the company spent just $14.6 billion on R&D, the report states. "In other words, the company spent $3.2 billion more enriching executives and stockholders than finding new cures," it concludes.

In 2022, Bristol Myers Squibb also spent $3.2 billion more on stock buybacks, dividends, and executive compensation than R&D—$12.7 billion on executives and stockholders compared with $9.5 billion on R&D. That year, the company made $6.3 billion in profits, and its former CEO made $41.4 million in compensation."

It's pretty clear where these corporations' priorities lie. I wonder how much of their R&D was funded by US taxpayers.

As someone who lives in Fort Wayne, where is this Fingerblast Championship that you speak of?

I was finally able to get rid of the ads in Windows. I'm sure that it doesn't block everything, but editing the 'hosts' file helps. At least I don't see any ads in Windows anymore. Here is an simple tutorial that I found on how to do so:

I don't know man, it's getting there. The same could be said for Texas.

Would've been better with cream-filled longjohns

Yeah, it is. It's nothing new. Here is a post about it from 3 years ago:

I love shitting on reddit as much as the next guy, but I don't think they are actually implementing this.

I have no doubt that the majority of Floridians will be civil, even around leftists and LGBTQ+ people. However, much of the recent legislation in Florida has been straight-up fascist. Also, Florida is seeing an influx of radical conservatives moving there, along with a lot of left-leaning and LGBTQ+ people leaving. That's what I mean when I say that "it's getting there".

I definitely need a source on this. I searched online and couldn't find anything. If this is true, I feel like it's the one thing that might actually cause some people to move to Linux.

Now I just wish that they would bring their phone to a US provider that is not T-Mobile. I can't buy their phone until it runs on a network that I can use.

Are you being sarcastic? There is 1 person manning 10 checkouts and cameras that aren't monitored. As someone who worked in the Front End of a grocery store for many years, I can tell you that they don't have the resources to keep track of 99% of theft.

Because CoD Black Ops requires internet in order to access most of the content, such as multiplayer. Undertale does not. You got any other, more relevant examples?

Yet some supervisor or manager will argue that you "have to turn it before you clock in to make sure that it records everything." Wage theft is nothing new.

IMO it's Redditor behavior. I hate Microsoft and Windows but there are some really annoying, overbearing Linux know-it-alls on Lemmy. It's possible to inform people of Linux without being an annoying asshole

If Musk was worried about cringey tweets then he would just delete his account.

80k out of 1.05mil is 7.6%. If you consider that 7.6% of Republican primary voters are considering voting for Biden, then those numbers look a little different. If 7.6% of Republicans in Ohio who voted for Trump in 2020 decided to vote for Biden in 2024 then that could certainly change the outcome of the election.

A 7.6% change would result in Biden having 2.919 million votes and Trump with 2.914 million votes. While some of these Haley voters probably already voted for Biden in 2020, there could still be a large enough shift in voter choice to make a difference. Especially if the Democrats have a large turnout in the general election. After the bullshit that Republicans have been up to lately, I think that people are at least angry enough to go out and vote out of spite.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm probably wrong. I didn't realize that Ohio has open primaries, so these numbers probably don't matter.

Rest In Piss

Me, personally? Fuck no. I'm perfectly happy staying on this planet for the entirety of my life. Space travel is too risky, and I don't really see how going to space would make my life any better. I will leave space exploration to people that are smarter and more adventurous than myself.

I haven't used them, but others are recommending these tools for transferring your user info:

lemmy.world might be blocking it. Just visit lemmy.dbzer0.com

It's blocked by a lot of instances because they don't want to deal with potential legal issues from providing pirated content. A lot of lemmy instances are based in places where it's illegal to share pirated content, such as the United States.

Then 2023 has got to be a pretty good year for you too, with the releases of Final Fantasy 16, Baldur's Gate 3, and Diablo 4. I have enjoying Diablo 4 and am really looking forward to Baldur's Gate 3 (I haven't played the early-access).
