I've enjoyed some of the absurd things out can come up with. Surreal videos and memes (every president as a bodybuilder wrestler). However it's never been useful and the cost isn't worth the benefit, to me.
how can you tell one is blocked by an instance?
"remake" is generous of the titling editor. That's a tech demo or a mechanic demo. Still good, though. The seamless transitions are nice.
As a former Texas resident: The Texas government can fuck alllllll the way off with that. Design a city that doesn't need cars and people won't need to use them. Residents HAVE to use cars because the place is so fucking unfriendly to pedestrians.
Cinema Sins. Used to be 5 minute videos pointing out continuity errors or over-use of something (Iron Man 2 Bird Bonus Round) but then bloated into 20 minutes of nit picky bull crap.

Ah, my hard line stance of "never buy anything ubisoft" is still working out for me.
No shit it's gonna fail. If you half ass something you obviously didn't wanna do, in an already fucked up development situation, it's not going well. No shit Sherlock.
I'm so pissed. I was so hyped for pve. I love the overwatch character design and universe but hate pvp.
I'm not saying that right-wingers are Nazis or racists,
I am.
This can't be real. There are so many red flags this is fake. 1) Everything is censored. 2) GIS (Google image search) lookup only shows reddit and linkedin. The linkedin post is just as vague "learned a colleague received this!" 3) It's too good to be true. it plays on current fears. 4) It's just so dumb.
Not unilaterally. Linking to reddit is fine, but bots that just repost links are not. If you, a person, find something on reddit that's worthwhile (a comic that's only posted on reddit, or a thread detailing a tech solution, or something else) and link it, then that's fine. You, a person, found value on another site and shared it. I don't care what a bot thinks. I care what you, my fellow lemming, thinks.
You people have friends?
But the protests made it clear that letting moderators make their communities private at their discretion “could be used to harm Reddit at scale” and that work on this feature was “accelerated” because of the protests.
Because Reddit admins deserved that harm. We've handed them all this free data and resource and they decided it was theirs.

Tldw - fuck's
I don't block instances. I block communities and users. An instance is too large a group of people. They're not a monolith. Some people on hexbear are garbage and some are not. Some topics encourage jerks, some do not.
I want to go every week. I miss it. I love the music, the tradition, the community, and being part of something bigger than myself.
I do not want to be associated with the kind of people who scream at "sinners" entering abortion clinics but don't actually do anything to solve the reason they go there. Nor with heriarchies that shuffle pedophiles around to avoid punishment instead of throwing the book at the. Nor with the mega churches who refuse to help flood or hurricane victims, but instead locked their doors. Nor with the cult of idolatry that venerates a fraudulent, adulterous, pathological lying narcissist.
Being associated with Christians made me stop wanting to go to church. I'm fucking pissed.
I've thought about it. It's tempting because it's simple. When you spend time and energy on your wife and she doesn't give anything back, it's very lonely. A cam girl is simple. Money goes in, attention comes out. It's not exactly what I want but it's got a higher success rate that what I've got now.
Enough so that Target is pulling out of San Francisco, IIRC
ehhhhhhhhhhhhh. They're blaming theft, but that's not it. Theft might be a part of it, but the stats nearby contradict that. We don't have access to their internal theft metrics, but the city data doesn't pan out. When there are stores (mission district) that have higher theft and are staying open, then is it really theft?
Or is it poor retail performance since WFH is the new king and people live in the suburbs more than in the city. When continue to order online more and more instead of shop at a physical store.
Theft is an easy way to blame other people without providing evidence. It's not the CEO's failure to adapt to changing market conditions, it's the poors! It's their fault! /s
claiming that they are still searching for the correct charity to partner
Isn't that something you should do before you start a donation drive? Wtf?
Uh, how old are you, op? This is boomer level garbage.
I would love more, but how? It was a rather self contained story.
Anything. Literally anything. The only time I get noticed is when someone needs something from me. I define my existence by how useful I am to others because that's the only time I've ever felt wanted. I hate it, but it's better than being completely ignored (which has happened many times in my life).
Mobile internet shouldn’t require that to be readable.
You're right, but we can't realistically affect web designers directly. We can only control our devices, so we should focus our energy there first.
Mike Ybarra mentioned
Never believe that asshole. He's from the same class as Kotick, but better at faking it.
Starship troopers. I say this not because the movie is bad (it's not, I think it's exactly what it meant to be and did it well), but that the movie and the book are thematically opposites. The book is very pro military authoritarian. The movie is a satire of that.
Eh, he said the word apologize, but that's not a full apology. All they essentially did was acknowledge that they noticed the public was mad at them. A full apology includes that acknowledgment and then what they did wrong and how they're going to try to prevent it again. I doubt that last point will happen.
Short version - war criminal that a lot of rich and powerful people love because he got them what they wanted.
Long version - Do you have 8 hours? Here's behind the bastards podcast. It's 6 episodes, 1:20 each. https://youtu.be/hPPW9eQnOCc
I'm not in software dev but 8 years seems a long time to make a game like this. I love the game and play it daily, but it's not that deep. It's has 5 maps and 20 guns and 2 kinds of enemies. That doesn't doesn't seem like an 8 year dev time.
Are you cherry picking the good games out of older libraries? I find people do that a lot when remembering. It's a survivorship bias thing. The good ones get remembered more and the bad one forgotten, so they seem like the population is better.
No, not because of cheapening. I've left hobbies because of the crowds associated with it (anime) or because I couldn't afford pay to win (magic the gathering). My current hobbies are one that benefit from community but don't need it: homebrewing, baking, 3d printing, food preservation, etc.
Priced at $60 for the 4GB variant, and $80 for its 8GB sibling (plus your local taxes), virtually every aspect of the platform has been upgraded, delivering a no-compromises user experience.
Ehhhhhh, that's pushing it. Didn't the v4 and v3 cost in the $30-$40 range?
Note: this is not about modding games to have muscle mommies or !fitmoe@lemmy.world characters.
USA. Been working 20 years. Every job has been 8 to 5, unpaid 1h lunch, 2x15min paid breaks. :(
Isn't fraudulent to change the terms of the deal after you've agreed to a contract? How are the new fees enforceable at all?
I'm not paying more money to get no-breakfast, and have to do chores, and have a 15% chance of crazy owner, and a non-zero chance of it being a scam, and have AirBNB corporate give me the run around.
Stop giving Ybarra attention, news outlets. He's fucking terrible.
Shhhh. Let people enjoy things.
Don't set yourself on fire to keep others warm. If you want to help, ok, but be realistic about it. Also, you can't help anyone who doesn't want it. Also-Also, it's nearly impossible to help someone who has a different reality than you do, which you've described him having.
Lol I get the meme reference, but I think we are the same. Wtf why are these locked behind launching a rocket to space?!
