That's the thing. Chiropractic could be considered a manual treatment which is a therapeutic modality. PTs do manual therapies that are less traumatic and are one component of the musculoskeletal issues that contribute to pain that chiro claims to heal. For most situations of acute back pain they resolve in 4 to 6 weeks so even the ineffective treatments appear to help- it's just like treatments for the common cold.

The fact that they got the twerk animation to be so realistic gives me confidence that they're raising the bar and putting in the work on this game. Also every rule 34 modder is gonna take full advantage of this

I mean if it is a bell curve, even an average person is smarter than half the world. There's a selection bias on social media because those heated and ignorant threads get memed and shared either by people who believe the nonsense or by outrage.

Vanguard and Blackrock. Their retirement fund allow them to have a significant share of major companies when compared to individuals

It is taught and Civil Rights is taught, but we didn't really learn about ongoing injustices against the black community (redlining and imminent domain, racial biases in the war on drugs, sund9wn towns, etc.) so US history classes painted a picture of it all being largely over with.

I mean gamer "boycotts" have had a history of poor staying power (L4D anyone?) I do hope enough people have left to make places like lemmy thrive. Reddit can keep folks like the commenter in the pic

The one thing I liked about Google podcasts was the parity between pc and android. Now I gotta find a similar podcast app to do the same

Doing nothing when I finally have leisure time is tough

Yeah unfortunately it's a subscription service now. I'm gonna try castbox and hopefully that works out.

Fuck. Im surprised how much ADHD affects me and how I've made it this far in life without treating it. It's like the only time I'm on point is when there's a swinging blade over my head

I'm doing my part. I hope others do an exodus and not a hiatus.

Thanks! It is very involved from planning to actually doing the work and deciding how you want it to look. Some edging serves as a retaining wall which means there's a lot more to do. I called 811 first to get the utility lines marked and after that I sprayed my line. My plan was to trench as close to 8.5 inches as possible at each level. That's 3.5 inches for paver base, 1 inch for sand, and then 4 inches for the stone. The incline was the most annoying part because if it wasn't a 2 foot height difference I wouldn't have to have been extra meticulous.

I used my levels to mark the depth as i went and then used crushed concrete as the paver base. Tamped it down then laid the 1 inch of sand. I set the pavers down on the stretch of sand and used both my torpedo level and 30 inch level to get em right. Once the pavers fell below the soil level I'd do the step up using the top of the previous paver level as where the next level's sand would end, so the paver base would start approximately 4.5 inches below the top of the lower level. Some areas did not get as much paver base due to sprinkler lines. Also because of the sprinkler lines I did not use a trenching shovel and used a spade and transfer shovel with some slow digging if I felt resistance.

After it was done I double checked the leveling, using sand for any wobbling and putting it in between the cracks. There's enough gapping that water will drain through. I had extra paver base so I used that for the backfill to help further prevent any shifting.
