by using a paper map like some sort of mystical land pirate

Oof, I remember going to people's homes to install phone and Internet links using paper maps because we didn't have maps on our phones back then and the GPS were mostly shit and out of date.
Some of the smaller villages were barely there on the regional maps, aside from maybe a dot near a main road with none of their actual streets.
For these, we'd call or stop by city hall, sometimes they'd have a shitty map or just directions.

I'm getting old...

Leopards ate my face energy

The dungeon master didn't write down which NPCs have which accents.

CrowdStrike also supports Linux and if they fucked up a Windows patch, they could very well fuck up a linux one too. If they ever pushed a broken update on Linux endpoints, it could very well cause a kernel panic.

Using the word should be fine, endorsing the ideology is a different story.

You're asking yourself the wrong question.
Ask yourself what you want instead: Do you really wanna know? Would you want him to be interested?

If so, ask him, not us.

You'd think so, but no.
Short story is the 'nominal' size is the size before going into a planer to smooth the faces.
Yes, it makes little sense, like many things related to construction stuff.

This was already budgeted for when they decided to use a chatbot instead of paying employees to do that job.
Trying to blame the bot is just lame.

It's actually normal.
Your nostrils cycle between like this so that the one can take a break from the air flow and mitigate drying out.

a bill that would grant an abortion exception for rape or incest

... 1 year olds kids.
Nevermind the fact that 1y.o. aren't fertile, normal people go their entire lives without ever thinking about impregnating 1 year olds.
And yea, if you somehow magically got a 1 y.o. pregnant, I sure as fuck hope they'd be able abort.

TL;DR: Execs finally think they can get away with it (again) and so paid mods are back on the menu.

Haven't had to use port forwarding for gaming in like 30 or so years, so I just looked up Nintendo's website...

Within the port range, enter the starting port and the ending port to forward. For the Nintendo Switch console, this is port 1024 through 65535

LMAO, no thanks, that's not happening.

For your question, you could likely route everything through a tunnel and manage the port forwarding on the other end of the tunnel.

An employee benefit that should cost them next to nothing to offer too.
Like, they have enough money to buy fucking Activision but not enough to give their employees free access to their own service.

Real question is what the fuck am I supposed to do about it?
Burning the place down hardly helps and our elected officials don't give much of a shit, at least around here.
I'm well paid, so it doesn't matter too much for my family just yet, but there are people for whom this means food insecurity.
I'm still pissed though, because I think people deserve to eat.

One thing is... it's expensive to save money.
Buying in bulk isn't as bad, but someone living paycheck to paycheck can't afford that.
I have a vacuum machine, the space to store things, freezers, etc.
I can spend more money upfront to save on food in the long run, but not everyone can do this and it hits them even harder.

Also, I love answering "inclusive Or" questions like it's a condition in a program, so many eyerolls.

This is the same kind of thing I'd expect when a once nice android app gets bought out by a company like tencent.
Bundle a battery manager and RAM optimizer bs in the file browser or something, fill it with ads, maybe they could have microtransactions for some of the "features".

Denuvo is like having to call your helicopter mom every other minute to make sure you still have the right to play.
If the call fails, or she doesn't pickup, or if you can't call for any reason (maybe your in the woods and have no service) you're instantly teleported into a dark room and all your toys are gone because everyone assumes you're a criminal now.

Do you... just hold them up and jump in?

First step after installing a new game: disable Chromatic aberration, lens flare, film grain, motion blur.
Also:
Set FOV to something more inline with my screen and position.
Shitty console ports have this locked in, usually to a very low value that might make sense when you play from the couch but too low when playing in another setup.

The Unity train wreck is such a beautiful example of shitting where you eat.
All they had to do was to shut up and do nothing and everything would be fine.
Instead, they were greedy af and their continued fall would be almost entertaining if it didn't highlight how shit the industry can be.

Lastly, the installation threshold won’t be retroactive, so only new installations made after the policy’s announcement will count toward reaching the Runtime Fee thresholds.

That's still retroactive though.
