Not to be super-pessimistic but the pharmaceutical industry seems to based upon encouraging awareness and promotion of name brands. Advertising and incentivizing doctors to prescribe promotes a system where the average patient has a hard time understanding and navigating, especially where the patient wants the best opportunity to treat a significant impact to their wellness.

Definitely not fewer protest songs. Lots of “new” protest genres exist now (punk, rock, rap, hiphop, reggae, still folk, etc.). Radio and television are way less relevant for reaching « protest » audiences (generally younger). Without the risk of conscription into a foreign war, the anti classist/racist/authoritarian protest likely sounds different.

Can assure you that lots of news and evacuation coordination information is still being shared. The same groups that were able to evacuate 95% of the population of a territory in a few days were able to adapt to sharing news differently pretty easily.

Definitely a cold-blooded number company/decision. As much as there are a gross number of people that want to watch him make fun of his impressions of trans people, I’m sure there are more “accident rubber-neckers” watching to see if the show is as terrible/great as promoted.
