I can't remember hearing anything about him, I also couldn't find anything with a quick search yesterday.

He seems to upload every other leap year or so. :D

I've understood the dogs got new owners, Genna moved to South Korea.

I was wondering if I would see this name here. It has been a while. Honorary mentions, I used to also watch Jesse Cox and Dodger/Dexbonus.

Long time ago, I would play Transport Tycoon (Deluxe?) all the time. I had this just about fully built map, I was forced to optimize everything because the game didn't allow any more railway stations or depots to be built.

One day, the news pops up that my company will go bankrupt if performance doesn't improve, I find myself in a balance of some number starting with -2.147... I couldn't find a way to the positives to save my company so I reloaded last save, I purchased the max amount of trains and carriages to sell when the apocalypse happens, I would build a significant amount of the map in railway that I could get refunded. No way I could achieve over 2 billion in one year.

Eventually I learn that the max value a 32 bit processor can have is 2,147,483,647, until it flips over to -2,147,483,647. I had become so successful that the hardware in my PC couldn't handle it! I take plenty of pride in this achievement. I actually beat an endless game.

My vote goes to Google, to whom I am tightly married. It's ecosystem and interconnectivity between apps as well as devices is unbeatable. It's super reliant.

It's the one entity that can wreck my online and offline presence. I mean, I use android and Google to login everywhere. If Mr. Google so decrees, my phone could wipe and google account be gone tomorrow. Same applies to Apple and Microsoft, but I don't use their systems as much. The poison I picked is Google and I hate it.

Lemmings.

Killing Gmail would be like killing search or youtube, they would NOT dare.

How "not old" everything is. I'm not old, but when I was young I thought people my age were at the general end of one's life. People also are surprisingly clueless.

Many machines use a bimetal to lock the door, a stupidly simple design. Metal heats up, bends and triggers the lock. It takes a while to cool down which is why it'll take a while to unlock even if you unplug the machine.

In case you'd like to see bigclive explain it in detail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIm7q_U3UEM

Maybe we could start manufacturing mini black holes to build the dark bulbs!

But please create it somewhere else than lemmy.world as well as it's by far the largest one. Gotta distribute and disperse across fedi!

Cordless vacuum was a costly one but certainly made that chore a lot more easy and kinda fun. I planned to store it in a closet but I'd take it out every few days so eventually I started leaving it on the floor, it's not in the way there either.

I don't like the idea that if history repeats itself, a powerful entity can force the data vaults open and see who they should send to the showers. I could be on the "correct" side at that time yet something I did or said last year has the system deem me unfit for the noble breed.

"I got an offer I couldn't refuse." and leave it at that! The offer might as well be just 'not having to deal with you guys anymore'.

One is to post at !newcommunities@lemmy.world

Passively?? Video streaming is anything but passive income.

Though looks like only some 7 million of them are active.

Wha? We had a canvas??

3 billion monthly active sure sounds a little excessive. I wonder if there's some shenanigans going on, combining other facebook's services.

I'm loving my Xperia, has 3,5mm jack, SD card slot (which I don't use atm, 256GB internal is plenty), stereo speakers in the front.

I just woke up so, no. Who were they?

I really prefer going solo. My individual freedom is fantastic, I get to do whatever it is I wish, when and how I do.

Trying to find that special one was super exhausting and it was a genuine relief when I realized I don't actually have to chase that dream others created for me.

"Selling sand in sahara."

Hm. Like striking a copper nail in a tree trump.

Isn't their entire strategy to fish people onto their site, make money that way? Twitter doesn't pay them either.

I've had good luck with various items, largely from Aliexpress, I can't really talk about which one could be the safest, so to speak.

Advice to keep an eye on: things are likely to be exactly what they describe it to be. And I do mean exactly. Say you get a AA battery charger, when you get one from your corner store, you'll expect it to charge the batteries in a timely manner. From Ali, the charger might take 12+ hours to do its job or maybe overcharge it. Or it'll work perfectly.

So, only get the ultra cheap stuff from these sites if you don't really care about it.

Oh geez, I can't remember ever seeing a single letter in a dream.

Dang, haven't seen this many downvotes on lemmy.

Very probably I would be born the other sex. I've kinda had those vibes all my life, in various moments. This egg has the hardest shell.

Street Rd. It should intersect with Road St.

Oh, why yes, I'd like to see the world on fire. Regular gasoline is fine, thank you.

I can not confirm this, I see posts from a variety of queer subs I'm still subbed to.

I was in two brief relationships with the same person some 10 years ago. I am single certainly by choice, I'm a sovereign person who loves their absolute independence, I get to do or not do whatever I want, whenever I want. Committing to be with someone is not my thing.

Sometimes it's lonely when a certain kind of friend is not available. Befriending single people is always a gamble, if they enter a relationship they are likely to fade out of existence pretty quick.

No serious relationships for me. Once I realized it, life got way easier! I completely ignored the idea that "I must find a partner, sooner rather than later as I'm growing older by the minute". I started doing a lot of things on my own, and have been enjoying the heck out of it.

BLĂ…HAJ stands for the metric system.

I'm in a metro, so ... dang. It's suddenly a really long way home, part of it is gonna be chilly.

I really doubt that Netflix would be what it is today if they had gotten bought. Too much would change too soon.

Yeah, I also like that the agent does all the paperwork and arranges things with the bank for everyone involved.

I wonder if you could ask google about it, citing GDPR which requires them to actually wipe the ones and zeros.

A couple years ago I began getting frustrated. Last year I started to first go to Bing, google as failsafe. Now I gave up on everything so might as well go with Ecosia. When I NEED something, I'll go with bing/bing's chatGPT.
