Yeah, this is like losing, "the game".

The flags are pointing the wrong way. I'm having a hard time comprehending this, must be European.

Not sure about the country as a whole, but at least in my experience the republicans I know would never have said they thought he tried to begin with. Usually they see the capital riots as something beyond what Trump was expecting, as untrue as that has come been shown to be.

It's probably worth mentioning we recognize certain types of people as part of the LGBTQ+ umbrella who were not before. Asexual people, for example.

Cool, so I'll wait to pick this game up until it's $10 on a steam sale in 5 years, and play the community's modded version.

I dont know how much energy you'd get per hour from a hot mug though. I'm much more intrigued by a blanket that would keep you safe in the arctic as well as the Sahara.

The old adage is relevant here:

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Swinging between feeling like you're a computer god, and then feeling like you're horrible at your job.

Or even better, making a new post to ask the same question again.

I want to thank you for asking this question, and also explain why for the, "just google it" crowd.

I have believed for the last 10+ years that this meant combat-rpg. My ignorance would never have been fixed if someone hadn't asked the question in a place like this; I never would have googled the answer to a question I didn't have.

How many more serious questions out there would benefit from more discussion, rather than individual research?

Alright, take my soap box from me.

I did not consider a 6200F heavy metal to be a hot drink.

Pointing to a franchise that has been incredibly stale and unimaginative for years now and using that to condemn video games as a whole is pretty misguided, I think.

I am a native speaker and spent a good 15 seconds trying to figure out why parents being locked in a barn meant neglect was happening.

I'm learning German, which wouldn't have this issue. I'm sure other languages have ways to avoid such confusion.

Hard agree. If the previous homeowner hadn't put it in, I certainly wouldn't have.

Life on a planet, either future earth or maybe stranded on another, where only the regions between night and day are habitable. All life needs to constantly move to be in a region of dawn or dusk. Some places near the poles could have semi-permanent civilizations that don't need to move as often.

Good job. I have never felt the need to Google that since I never had a reason to question what I thought it meant.

So, is "immersive sim" just a vaguely plot-driven game in a setting with good world building?

Not at all, please read my comment again.

My favorite example of the reverse in recent memory has been Wizards of the Coast essentially going back completely and then some on their unpopular OGL changes after a significant portion of their DnD Beyond members canceled their subscriptions.

Language is fluid. The character named Milquetoast the expression comes from was based on the idea that milk and toast are a bland and uninteresting meal anyway. The idea is communicated either way.

Did you have an argument

That is a very good guess.

I'd add on that the expectation in an individualist society like the US is to become independent and move out. Those ideas are used synonymously in a lot of contexts. Someone who hasn't moved out can be seen as lacking independence. Of course that isn't necessarily true, but it's the perception.

For a young person growing up with these ideas as the standard, there can be a certain safety in forgoing that independence. That was my situation for years, where I was financially independent, but moved back home after my roommates moved away. I was in my mid twenties before I moved out for good.

For Mass Effect, I gotta say I hate driving anywhere in the first game.

For 30 minutes, but yeah. Still very exciting!

Reading the parahumans story, "Worm", has changed how I look at people. It is my personal-favorite character study. There are dozens of characters who all have unique world views to explore.

This is a really good writeup. At a glance, I'm guessing these three meals don't collectively exceed 1,000 calories, which is important to note since OP will probably be very hungry.

I guess I didn't mind the Mako's handling as much as the big empty planets that felt like they were designed not to be driven in.

I was right at the 10 year mark myself. I only use it now when a thread comes up in a search, I don't ever go there just for the sake of it anymore.

I mean, given that the user base here was mostly looking for an alternative to Reddit, that makes sense.

That can't be true, can it?

Edit: I have spent too much time on this; I can't find anything to the contrary.

Thanks for the recommendation!
