I could be remembering wrong but Twitter was only worth $15B at best, and Elon bought it for $44B because he's that smart.

I dunno what you guys are doing that makes your nextcloud die without touching it

Mine runs happily until I decide to update it

There's literal audio recording of him acknowledging that he's fully aware he can't do whatever he wants with classified files.

As usual he's right until he proves himself wrong then claims he's right again.

Hit Cancel instead of Reply after typing a response to that moron. 9/10 it's not worth the effort and your life will be better for having moved on.

Which ones are you referring to? What's is your actual use time, like 8+ hours a day without charging? I use cheap generic MPOW ones I got for $40 and they easily last me at least 2 days

fun edit:

With a jack you can listen and charge you phone at the same time

With wireless headphones you can also charge your phone and listen at the same time

I think they look really cool. I can't get the rage about a friggin' giant electricity producing machine but they're fine with billboards everywhere.

It's a watch pocket; in case anybody was wondering the actual answer. Pocket.. watch... watch pocket...

That's what they said though...

And Milhouse!

Nokia phones in 2000 could record your voice for any command you wanted. The voice command reliability of those phones is beyond superior to what is offered by today's voice assistants.

Does it hurt to realize you're that kind of stupid? Has it happened yet?

Or 2 international space stations built today with modern tech

More bandwidth. The physical Bit already travels at the speed of light inside the cables

It's a convenience factor I think. Send the whole thing away and it comes back working. Opposed to having to find the faulting hardware and determining the type of fault and dealing with the vendor for that specific part in hopes that it's actually the issue.

I really enjoyed Google+ specifically for the Circles feature. I'm pretty sure it was the age unrestricted global Hangouts chats that killed it.. Probably what this scene from Silicon Valley is about.

How are you using 21kWh/day heating a small home? Do you have any insulation at all?

This. skill issue.

Headphones/ear buds. It really comes down to your use case. If you listen to podcasts and audiobooks 90% of the time then you only need good enough which is typically around $40.

That doesn't protect anybody who's on a scam site though.

A PhD is the promise you'll do great work. An honorary degree means you've already done it.

Warranty is the biggest reason for a prebuilt. Anything goes wrong with it and you're not spending money on things to test and experiment with. You send it in, it comes back working.

Most of these Chromebooks are 3-4 years old and in really rough shape. Kids use these things for literally everything. You likely wouldn't even want them for free. Probably bio-waste at this point.

Likely the majority of their staff is sales, marketing, account managers and management.

That's why I went ahead and got one of those 49" Samsung displays. I use it probably 300 days a year and I'll likely keep it for 10 years like my old ones. I could have saved money but this was a luxury that I can easily justify by how often I use it.

Windows 10 and 11 both have ARM versions. 11's ARM version has had some major updates recently.

I could do it I think. I was pretty good at Duck Hunt back in the day.

That doesn't apply the same for tools as it does cameras. For cameras the idea is at least you have the image captured. For a tool, if you're trying to lift a car up, a hammer alone isn't going to do you much good.

It really depends on the type of heat pump. Air-sourced heat pumps generally don't produce heat below -30C and below -10C they generally lose enough efficiency that you're better off using electric baseboard heating.
