I mean, what's the problem with attached bottle caps? They're pretty cool, and they don't really get in the way.

I'm pretty sure spy satellites do have even greater resolution, only thing is that you're not gonna use something like that for a map view and it would be very inefficient, since those satellites certainly don't have the same field of view and would take a lot longer to scan the appropriate area, and are limited in number.

The fact that X86 came after a full stop so his phone auto capitalised it.

Didn't even see that one. Probably just a missclick.

Honestly, the worst part of the AI craze is that so many people hear AI now and immediately hate it even though it can really do some amazing stuff, e.g. in medicine. AI as a blanket term just has so much variance, there's a ton of trash and a ton of great stuff.

Had a period here where it was like 4 on average, now it's usually 1-2, trying to make it midnight or 23, but that hasn't happened in like 5 years probably so doubt.

Damn that really is surprising. I'm glad that she's alive. Hope that she can return home safe.

I don't get it? Why? What do they gain from this? Killing a few random civilians in an airstrike on an evacuation corridor serves no purpose other than bad PR. If they want to commit genocide, there'll be lot's of people left in Gaza City. Like I genuinely can't come up with something that makes sense for why they would do this, other than they might think that there are maybe militants in that convoy? But that's still overkill and not worth the cost. Maybe they want to scare people into not leaving the city, and then say they gave them the option but they didn't leave?

iPhones are the only the biggest by market share in very rich countries like the nordics, US, UK and a few others, with a bias towards anglophone countries I'd say. https://deviceatlas.com/blog/android-v-ios-market-share

Well to be fair, if google wanted to kill Firefox they could just stop paying Mozilla for using their search engine as the default. That's basically the only thing that's keeping them afloat.

I'm pretty sure any petty theft is very hard to track down. Not just bikes, if someone broke into your house and stole some minor things it's almost certainly not gonna get found. Bikes are the same, it's very easy to resell them and repaint, and nobory registers bikes.

Sometimes people don't vote by logic. They see stuf going to shit, hear grand promises of how "we'll fix everything, the establishment is incompetent/evil", and hope they'll deliver.

They finally updated the calendar so it doesn't look like it's out of windows 95? Thank god. I really wanna use it now but I'm too tied down to Outlook now. I guess I'll try to migrate.

If it had a mobile app it would make it much easier. The Outlook mobile app is really good.

I just hope they're not rushing too much like the Soviets, and we get another Chernobyl

I don't think it's that. I think they just want to force manufacturers and users to have TPMs. They don't want some users having one and some not, it's easier when you know every device has one.

Apparently, aliens are very interested in anglophone countries

I just... I... what goes through this man's head? Why is literally every sentence he spews completed bullshit? And why do so many people fall for it?

O shit, so CSAT has finaly developed the Eastwind device.

Interesting, in the show it isn't really an illusion, they physically change her.

Yeah but that wouldn't solve this issue? The malware stole data from the app on the users device, not from a server.

I love how his second response can also be true even if he is a robot.

This person is either cursed or idk what they were trying to do. Installing Windows literally couldn't be easier, you don't even need to think about partitions, you can just let it create them itself.

I reinstall Windows every cca. 6 months to clear all the bloat i pick up, it's really not that hard.

Holy shit we've really started going after big dictionary now as well? What's next, big water?

Yeah but on the other hand you also have to wrestle with Linux a lot, and personally usually a lot more time wise. It's all tradeoffs and what people care more about.

That guy is making me question my sexuality

I think he's talking about blocking just porn in general. In that case you could get rid of 95% of it by just blocking lemmynsfw.com.

What the fuck

It would probably cost tens or hundreds of millions to produce an entire car to those tolerances.

Like that tolerance is literally insane.

I mean, I'm pretty sure that for an XSS attack that's fine. The entire problem is that somebody posts e.g. a comment that contains code that is automatically run in users' browsers. If you make the front end just not execute that code then it's fine. Who cares what's stored in the back end?

I mean, it would still be better to have multiple fail-safes, and they probably should still sanitize text entering the database.

But this is sufficient for a quick fix.

I never thought of it this way, that's a pretty good interpretation.

For students a gaming laptop makes a bunch of sense, since taking a PC with you back an forth every time you go back home can be a major hassle.

I mean he literally said "Habits are things they automatically do, without thinking. They don't have to decide to do them."

That's not true, everybody has to think about whether they're going to start some activity or not, muscle memory helps with e.g. driving so you don't need to think about how much to press the pedal or turn the wheel when driving, but you still have to think about where you're going (though I guess that can be relatively automatic by itself if it's somewhere where you regularly go).

What I'm guessing might be a difference is that for other people it's easier to start the activity itself because they feel an urge to do it, like they're doing something bad if they don't or that they feel their teeth being dirty if they don't brush them.

What media are you watching that you see foot fetishes everywhere?

Asking for a friend.

DO IT

RIGHT NOW

DROP EVERYTHING ELSE

I was joking because you wrote "unsurance" instead of "insurance"

I'm guessing life unsurance would just be euthanasia. Or would they pay you if you survived for longer than expected?

Fyi - the EU isn't stopping aid for Palestine, it was a comment made by an official that cannot unilaterally decide on this and other EU states are against it.

Personally I use simple tab group that allow you to separate tabs into groups that you can open in different windows. It's extremely useful but it means sometimes if you switch between multiple tab groups you might have a lot of tabs open, but using this would allow you to majorly mitigate that problem.

But when can I push?

It would probably just use RCS as the backend and have some different functionalities, they could easily just highlight "this person isn't using Signal so chat features are limited". Hell, Signal had exactly this when they made the app work as an alternative SMS client. They removed that feature, but it existed previously.
