they were met with a blank screen that showed no search results and a pop-up linking to the website of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Preventing finding misinformation and sending to a trusted source sounds good to me. Social media being used as a source is why idiots were eating horse dewormer.

Someone downvoted you but you are correct. The report used assumptions based on satellites not even made of the same materials as starlink satellites.

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/10/spacex-says-faa-is-wrong-about-starlink-satellite-debris-falling-to-earth/

Among other things, SpaceX said the FAA's debris estimates were based on a 23-year-old study of satellites that were made with different materials than Starlink satellites. SpaceX says its own satellites are designed to burn up completely when they reenter the atmosphere.

The FAA report to Congress did include a caveat that said, "If SpaceX is correct in reporting zero surviving debris, as SpaceX reports in FCC filings, and Starlink is a fully-demisable spacecraft, the rise in reentry risk is minimal over the current risk."

Would glitter work?

Home assistant is working on a voice assistant but it’s not done yet. They’re supposed to announce progress on a YouTube live stream on the 12th.

This isn’t about the weight sensors, it’s using “computer vision” to detect you didn’t scan something and forces employees to get involved.

All the Walmarts I’ve been to have the bagging area weight sensors turned off. It seems the local grocery store finally turned theirs off because using a reusable bag used to set it off.

Obviously Four seasons landscaping couldn't accommodate his press conference and this is just his excuse.

That’s the most ridiculous part to me. Why isn’t this able to continue off the car battery? It should be do not disconnect car battery if anything. I hope there’s some sort of fail safe to prevent it from bricking that doesn’t involve a factory reset or dealer visit.

This one isn't click bait. It's not about him saying something dumb, it's about something really dumb he did and in depth. If any other CEO did what this article outlines it would still be worth reading after getting some popcorn ready.

Yes, according to the dev of Apollo it's $12,000 for 50 million API calls and he said he paid $166 for the same amount of API calls from imgur.

You're going to need to be more specific. Do you mean ads on websites? If so download a content blocker like Adguard.

why would Hunter Biden’s penis do this?

Tuberville said he has no regrets after he released hundreds of holds without getting anything in return.

“We saw some success. We didn’t get as much out of it as we wanted,” Tuberville said.

I love this.

What? It’s not crazy unstable, I’ve never had an issue with it.

I found a better article on Reuters that says he took the mushrooms about 48 hours before. Would they even still have an effect at that point? I’ve never taken shrooms.

Looks like a normal grocery store to me. If you want run down looking you should see what family dollar stores look like.

Thinking the feds are after you is a common paranoid delusion from schizophrenia. You should seek help from a psychiatrist. I would really suggest going inpatient but either way seek help from a professional.

The worst part of that is if your apartment management company gets phished then that person can now get into everyone’s apartment without setting off red flags to other residents since they can just unlock and walk right in.

They won’t believe it, they’ll just say it’s fake news and go on about Hunter Biden.

Registration and renewal cost plus more availability, most shorter names are taken on the older tlds.

I came up with mine by scrolling through tldlist comparing prices and going with the first idea that popped in my head.

Being forced back to the office is a paycut itself. It adds commute costs (fuel, wear and tear if you drive) and wastes more of your time you could spend doing other things. It also increases pollution and traffic for no good reason.

How is saying it’s a software problem with both the apps and the OS itself that they working on a fix for a deflection? This is nothing like the holding it wrong thing.

Alexa is the same and used to work fine. My favorite is “Alexa, turn on the fan” turns on the fan in my mother’s room but “Alexa, turn off the fan”correctly turns off the fan in my bedroom. I ended up getting a HomePod and using home assistant to add all my devices to HomeKit. Shit on Siri all you want but at least she can turn the right devices on and off and on first try.

As a gay I take offense to being associated to such an abomination.

Them having their own instance would serve the same purpose as being verified because of the domain.

Don’t get “pumpkin pie mix“ by accident. What you want should say “100% pure pumpkin” and ingredients list should only list pumpkin.

Edit: and don’t be surprised if their poop is orange, my beagle has had diarrhea for weeks because she was on antibiotics and while the pumpkin is helping her poop looks like canned pumpkin.

It's not rage, it's amusement from watching the slow motion train wreck.

It's legit. T-mo.co is their shortlink domain and 456 is the shortcode they send from.

The tensing was probably causing you to give off threatening body language. Next time just speak up and tell them it's wearing off and you're in pain. Any good dentist won't want you to be in pain.

I have no idea if it's common for them to be attacked but dental anxiety is common and a panic attack sets off the fight or flight instinct so it wouldn't be surprising.

I wonder if it was the hospitals that put the pixel there. Portals are usually outsourced to software vendors. If so many hospitals did it it might be the vendor's stupid choice.

There replacing file formats nobody uses with an open format (epub). I remember having to convert epubs before I could load them to my kindle so this is basically the opposite of closing off a walled garden.
