I do not like the fact that Signal requires a phone number to be used. If I want to talk to someone on Signal, I need to give him my Signal registered phone number. I do not understand why can't they introduce User name like Telegram so we do not have to reveal our phone number to others.

Sometimes when I post a comment (without any image) it takes forever to post and sometimes it keeps spinning and I need to cancel and post again. My internet connection is fine (100 Mbps) and it works flawlessly on other websites. Is it happening due to overloading on the lemmy server?

Is there any app for Lemmy (Android) that scrolls without stutters every now and then? I tried Thunder and Jarboa and although the scrolling is smooth most of the times, but they stutter occasionally and the experience is not very intuitive. When I was on Reddit, I was using Infinity for Reddit which was smooth af. I am looking for an a Lemmy app that looks and feels like Infinity for Reddit.

Reddit helped me a lot over the years with my doubts and issues. Whenever I had any doubt with anything, I always found atleast one or two posts about it with some helpful answers. But yes, Reddit is filled with nasty people with their criminal minds. People use downvote feature for their personal satisfaction. If they do not like your comment (even if it is true), they will downvote you and then constantly harass you until you delete the comment. Moderators delete your comment and block you without giving you any explanation or a chance to explain yourself. The best way to use Reddit is to use it without an account.

I do not trust cloud based password managers even if they claim to be E2EE and all other stuffs. I only trust offline password managers like KeePassDX (using it right now) etc.
