You know what does show headlines? Mastodon.

Sales have slowed because dealers are selling above MSRP still.

I only know about the subs I mod.

A popular one with a couple million subscribers is seeing way less posts and less traffic.

A smaller niche sub that I mod is still quite active with no signs of stopping.

Wasn't one of my favorite bands, but Iistened to them regularly.

Lead singer of As I Lay Dying hired someone to kill his wife. (Guy he hired was actually a cop, so he went to prison)

I don't get to do it much anymore, but watching cartoons on Saturday morning.

Reddit's biggest asset is its community. Charging for its API may be a necessary evil to survive an uncertain future, but Reddit's attitude against its own community isn't. Reddit is burning bridges on its quest for cash without showing an ounce of sympathy. That has brewed unprecedented furor amongst hardcore users and detracted from Reddit's effectiveness for more casual users, too.

That's it right there. Everyone gets that reddit needs to charge for API. But their attitude towards the very people who worked to make reddit what it is are being crapped on

All I really want is SMS integration back.

I think they do, but you barely use your brakes due to regenerative braking. So you don't have to change it very often, if ever

A bunch have. But it can be difficult to get a whole ton of non technical consumers move to a platform that's unpolished.

I love lemmy. But it can be confusing at first to new users.

Just block lemmy.ml - who cares what the devs think. It's an open source project.

I don't think anyone is saying they are owed money. But just taking the handle with nothing in return is really not nice.

They could at least give the guy like Twitter Blue for life or whatever the heck premium is called now.

Many would argue that he can't run for president either.

I just learned about Matrix recently. Seems like something that'd be good. What sucks about it?

What about X.org?

Who told you that? AFAIK that was definitely never true about computer tech jobs.

lemm.ee and lemmy.one have a bunch of good communities. The star trek communities are on their own instance.

So yes. There's a ton of important and good communities that aren't on the two biggest instances. I mean... This is the nature of federation

Or drug money from selling to a foreign country

Purely government in the pockets of the dealers.

It'll take a bit before they realize the subs they liked are turning into garbage

I happen to like !whatcouldgowrong@lemm.ee

Probably because I am a mod there. :-)

The propaganda is strong. I guess we shouldn't be surprised that people in Russia are still believing things that Putin says.

Well... I guess there's one thing I have in common with Russia.

Any scene where people talk in the prequels.

This is exactly it.

I volunteered for several subs because I didn't like all the junk I was seeing and wanted to clean it up.

And now I'm starting some communities here on Lemmy because I'd like to enjoy similar content without going to that other platform.

I've seen way less quality content on a few subs I enjoy. And on the biggest sub I mod, there was barely anything posted.

I love crypto.

But... This just isn't a good use of crypto.

In this case, it's the Canadian government that is evil. Imagine them telling lemmy sites that they had to pay for news? It's basically the same thing.

It's a complete destruction of the free and open internet. Canada doesn't get to declare war on the internet and then cry because Meta responded exactly how they said they would respond.

Yup. I had an FTX account but I did not keep any crypto or cash there, thankfully.

Cults are defined by cult-like activity. Cult-like activity is bad because it abuses people.

If there's a "cult" that doesn't actually have cult-like activity, then it's not really a cult.

Cast iron is non-stick and so much easier to clean

Good job setting up alerts for system resources.

It's those sneaky Canadians trying to steal our jobs!

As an actual Christian that reads the Bible and goes to church, I wish more people who called themselves Christian actually followed what the Bible says. It's a big problem in the US

This is really a question for your doctor.

I'm sure it's easier to develop now without it. But man.. My usage of the app is way down. It no longer integrates with my Tesla. Many of my friends dropped it altogether so now I only have a couple people that communicate with it.

Long term, I don't think I'll keep using it. But we'll see. It was such a great app.

Just get 1 dongle that you have everything plugged into. Then you only need to plug your laptop into 1 thing. Bam. Super convenient.

It's great. Way better uptime than lemmy.world or lemmy.ml
