As for the Steam side, I'm pretty sure people who already had the game installed should've had access still, although updates and general unsureness definitely could be obstacles. I will never forget riding my horse up to The Baron's residence after losing his child and his wife and seeing him hanging from the tree. They do such a good job making his character barely tolerable at first, then make him slowly grow on you after you learn he's just like you. Scared, confused, and lost. He lashes out because he's trying to protect his family, but the weight of losing it is the end is too much for him.

Truly, what a masterclass in narrative design, and it's only a sliver of what that game has to offer.

I could write entire novels worth of comments on why we should care about every one of these issues. Every single one of these things is important and worth proper discussion and problem solving. Straight out of HS I went to Uni, and it always felt like I wasn't doing it for myself. 2.5 years and $20k later I left hastily, and went to college after a few months off. I didn't get it right in the first year, but I went into game dev after that and barely squeaked by. Even with it being a very strong interest of mine, it was very difficult to drag myself through it. I met some incredible friends along the way that helped keep me focused enough, but it was hard.

Fast forward 3 years, and here I am now, diagnosed with mixed ADHD, medicated, with more focus than I've ever had. Its still not great... I have 27 years of bad habits to break, but it's getting better.

One of the biggest things I can offer as advice is know your enemy. ADHD is tricky to deal with, but not impossible. If you have the option to make itbeasier to manage, I'd try to find a way and make it happen. I can't speak to the autism part, but the ADHD is something that you can manage. It just takes some time.

I'm assuming you have played it, but Doom Eternal takes all of the good from 2016, improves all of it, and adds a whole slew of features that are virtually all positive. That, with a pretty impressive story to boot, DOOM Eternal might be my favorite sequel of all time.

There's no way that the western world can fix these issues at the same time. They can barely keep themselves from infighting, let alone solving these issues that concern the world at large. I suppose too that I have a lot of predisposed opinions about the AI discussion at large that cloud this story of any real importance to me. AI, in general, is an excellent tool that can be used to increase productivity, if used responsibly. I'm working on a solo video game project right now, using AI to help me solve logical problems and help creatively kick off some ideas when I struggle to find the right inspiration, and its a fantastic tool. A lot of people tend to dismiss it as a tool that's exclusively used to rip of talented creators and destroy the integrity of the people that do use it in legitimate ways, like myself.

I'm not blind to the fact that this particular usage of AI is capable of doing real damage to every woman, not just Taylor. But it's a double edged sword to me; now that we have a widespread story centering on Taylor's experience, it's gonna get worse way before it get better now.

It's gotten better in years past, but the rights between men, women, and members of any other community that identify as otherwise, are not equal whatsoever.

There is an order of priority I wish would be established, and this is not the order if we wish to live as a society past the next 5 years.
