Thank god, now I have more time to pretend I will play the first game before this one releases

This is the best thing nintendo have ever said

This was too late. Paradox's in house development studio did the same thing with Victoria 3. Do something way too greedy (lock historical characters behind a preorder for a dlc that was already bad). Waited to see the backlash, and when it was too much, they make the bonuses free.

At least they're doing something, but the dlc should have been pushed back at launch.

No matter your stance on AI, it's important to mention they are using ai to generate robot voices.

The verification clear (done by the creator to upload it) was a tas meaning it was a cheated level

All this means is that the satire is fine until people don't see it as satire. It was all funny until people started killing him on sight and mass reporting him. It's just the Internet being the Internet, someone will always take it too far and ruin it for everyone

They're trying to train ai off of posts on that site

I would be concerned if napoleon's right hand didn't belong to him

I think part of it is selling mental health data to companies such as meta. I dont know if it was anonymised but either way it's horrible

If you can't type an umlaut it's spelt fuenf

That seems unlikely considering contracts and legal stuff

She did visit the Queen a few days before her death was announced...

I actually saw this post, the amount of people who were getting mad at ai support even after BEING TOLD THE PUNCHLINE was insane

Hasbro has no control over the developers, they are just making money because the devs have to pay for the rights to d&d

Crashing and burning would be similar to most my other projects

Is this comment made from a wafrn instance? It's cool that it works with lemmy

It was released along side mods (a very slow first party mod manager) so I guess they think it makes it better. The mods are good and it's a nice thing that they don't depend on the steam workshop anymore but they don't excuse releasing a £10 dlc along side it that just adds more skins for low density houses when the game still doesn't work

They're going to find a way to release the films with bugs and release a day one patch

It's not going to be worse than KSP2. KSP2 launched with game breaking bugs and all of the new features missing (and some of the old ones) as well as bad performance on ALL graphic settings no matter the specs. CS2 has features that differ it from the first game and the performance issues (allegedly) can be fixed by turning settings down (unlike KSP2). Both games launched (or will launch) without modding support which is really bad for both games.

It's likely they signed a contract with them before the (second) controversy, I feel like a better way to do this is to see if they continue with the shitty sponsors

But they should be held accountable for this kind of stuff

At least Bobby Kotick is going

I was just scrolling through the instance to see what it is like and I saw this post, I know it's federation but it is still really cool

He announced it months ago, he just released his last video yesterday

I think they're from a mastodon instance

Cake day on my lemmy.world account is in 11 days. Happy cake day to all that migrated!

In a month there will be enough squares to fit every lemmy user

I've recently started playing deep rock galactic and it's an amazing game.

The metaverse (made by meta) is. Alternatives to meta's metaverse, like vr chat, and the technology in general definitely isn't dead

I think your just playing games that don't have a grid. I still play a lot of games with a grid. If you want a strategy game that has a grid, my dad has been playing a lot of jagged alliance 3 and has been saying very positive things about it.

Quick! Now is the best time to spend your rent money on mountains of pdx dlc!

I'm not on linux, but I heard star citizen works and it's running a free to play event right now until the 26th of May.

If you don't like Easy Anti Cheat I would avoid it.

I never played ck2 but I know that eu4 with and without dlc are like different games

I actually own rats and this is close, if they are constantly tilting their head they probably have an ear infection. They should still be taken to the vets either way though.

The subsidies have never saved me from failing before, they only make me fail slower (if that makes sense). It might just be something I'm experiencing though.

It is a shame they're such a greedy company because, similarly to what you said in your 3rd paragraph, they make good games, some can be as good as games like factorio at times, but it's always ruined by their dlc.

You mentioned free updates at the end, I believe they are doing that for victoria 3, but their first big expansion for the game, spheres of influence, comes out in June so we'll see if they stick to that.

I love paradox games and have the money to by their dlc most the time and will keep buying the ones I want (because the beach dlc was too far even for the largest paradox shills) as long as the game's stability and the free players are prioritised, unlike the way they have been treated in cities: skylines 2.

And yes, fuck paradox, shame their games are ruined by their greed.

Every 4x game and even some gsg games were board games at some point in some way

Have they even given a timeframe for when mods will release because I haven't seen them say anything about it since launch, I'm assuming because another team is developing it.
