Market share. If you look on the server side though, you find the total opposite.

I think a VAC ban only bans you from that one game, at most from other games with VAC. I got VAC banned in modern warfare 2 10+ years ago, but it hasn't had an impact on my account/other games. More than a notice on my profile that it happened.

... just to add, the ban was justified. I went into a game and just held down the shoot button with a plethora of cheats on to see what it was like. It took all the fun out of it and cost me a game I liked. Not recommended. : )

Curious way of seeing it. I've never considered a new major version as being an entirely new OS... Do normal users even consider new Windows versions as anything but a UI "upgrade"?

If you don't want version numbers maybe you should run a rolling release distro? I don't think you'll be able to convince everyone to stop using them. They're quite instrumental when dealing with old systems on LTS versions when having to deal with EOL.

Or maybe this post is more of a "I just realized"-post?

Yeah, I thought this was common knowledge by now? It's like they don't even care to do some digging before posting stuff anymore...

Right in the feels

Just because I were curious enough to check this out, from Wikipedia:

Worldcoin aims to provide a reliable way to authenticate humans online, to counter bots and fake virtual identities facilitated by artificial intelligence. Using a distribution mechanism for its cryptocurrency similar to UBI, Worldcoin attempts to incentivize users to join its network by getting their iris scanned using Worldcoin's orb-shaped iris scanner.

It's not inherently anti-trans. How can you say that, can't you see what OP wrote? And then you're trying to put a stample on me for not being a good enough supporter of the cause, so bring out the guillotines! Sometimes I feel like the trans communities greatest enemy is it's strongest proponents.

You can't speak for every trans person, neither can I. But if you think no one trans likes HP, or think that if someone trans likes HP they aren't really trans, then you can fuck right off. And if that's not what you're saying, then let it be?

People are weird, let them. If they aren't actively trashing other people they aren't doing harm. Stop being upset about things no one's yet to do to you. You just come of as an leftist incel.

It doesn't protect you from evil executables, no torrent client does (that I know of). It's up to you to make sure you trust what you download. If it simply is movies I wouldn't be bothered, but games/software can be nasty when from public trackers (open for everyone torrent search engines). The same is true for direct downloads.

How do you check what is eating up all your memory/cpu?

love USB

That sounds funky, I like it!

This wasn't what you asked for, but I have to add it in here: I switched to YouTube music because I was told the shuffle actually was random there. From my experience the past couple of months it seems to be the case, at the very least it's better. But discovering new music (without putting in much effort) has been harder. Their playlist sorting is non-existent (you're stuck with alphabetic order, no folders). And for some idiotic reason the playlists are shared with YouTube... Everything with it, except for its working shuffle, is horrendous.

How the fuck can Spotify just not have a true fucking random shuffle, it's so annoying! It does everything else fairly well, but I'm not switching back to starting a playlist of 8+ hrs and getting a recognizable pattern depending on what I skip and don't. Or whatever goddamn algorithm they think is better than /dev/urandom.

This gave me hope for a while, but I've now given up: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/All-Platforms-Option-to-have-a-true-shuffle/idi-p/4880594/page/103#comments

Since we're all begging, I'd love an invite as well. I'm on digitalcore/torrentleech/superbits if you'd like some security that I'm not only a leech.

In many engineering professions you really need to understand the underlying math to have a chance in hell to interpret the results correctly. Just because you get a result doesn't mean you get an answer.

Have you tried sidebery? When I found tree layout for tabs to be a thing I haven't looked back.

What are you doing here? It's not growing now is it? You see, it has to grow! The factory MUST grow!

If it isn't broke, don't fix it. It simply downloads torrents, I wouldn't worry about it.

When I did it I just forwarded my mails to the new service (fastmail) and changed mail address whenever a mail got forwarded in. When I didn't receive a forwarded mail for a year or so I deleted my old mail and never looked back.

If you use a password manager this get easier though, since you can just lookup where the old mail is used.

So if I'm not both a woman and a man I can't see sexism? That's an easy way out of responsibility.

I don't mean you can't choose to stay clear of HP yourself. What I'm hinting at is that you can disassociate with a group without the drama. HP fans aren't all bigots, that's obvious right? I like Wagner's music, I'm not a fucking Nazi. It's such a weird hill to die on with everything going on.

And choice to be trans? I dunno if it’s a choice anymore than I “choose” to love the same sex.

It's not the point, and I hope you got that but just couldn't leave without slapping my wrist.

This changed my habitual way of working with browsers for the better, can't recommend it enough. I'm using Sidebery though, not sure of the differences, but I really like its snapshot feature.

Jellyfin is great, I have it setup with iptv as well, and tailscale so I can reach it from any of my devices from anywhere. It actually saves me a ton of money, since having sport stream subscriptions is cooooostly, and I just use my main computer as host.

That's pretty much my look on things as well! I've felt like the gaming community generally demands more out of a game than they'd a movie.

Holy fuck. I like Harry Potter and want to speak about it, so what? Because JK made a few announcements? Words do damage and I get that it's already hard being trans and she isn't helping. But acting like this is just building more walls, dividing an already fucked humankind for no good reason.

I respect anyone's choice to be trans, but then you'll have to let me discuss HP without judgement as well. And if you won't, then you're the problem. Because I will still respect anyone trans, but I won't respect you.

Why wouldn't you recommend OnePlus though? I have a 9 pro which I enjoy. I really don't miss the Samsung's bloatware.

Yes, I'm aware of the radio ability. I'm not using shuffle to discover new music. I'm using it to play random songs from a large playlist I have.

I'm just tired of these excuses. Either you take a stand and do the bare minimum to keep the freaking free web alive or you go down with excuses of superior tech. I don't know shit about modern web tech, thank fucking God, because no one can tell me it hasn't gone straight downhill last ten years with a straight face. There may be cool tech demos in a few places, but that's it about it. It's just gotten bloated.

Give me examples. I've been using Firefox exclusively for over ten years and I can recall one website I've had to use chrome on. That was draw.io to get shared drawing through a Google drive to work.

I saw it all, albeit without audio. It honestly didn't look that bad to me. They seemed a bit stiff and something was off with the hand gestures, other than that it was visually passable to me.

I wonder how they did it though, and how procedural it can get.

You should be spending very little time, if any, in that folder.

I know what you mean, but man if this isn't the exact opposite of me. If the program doesn't store its config here I'm close to crusading.

Noice!

I get it, you think you're doing good, I'd ask you to reconsider that. You're claiming someone is doing something no one has even considered yet. Judge the result, not your idea of what they're trying to do. You're painting a monster no one else sees.

I won't answer your second post to me since it wasn't targeted at you, and I'm lazy.

I agree! It's not easy to measure this and my equation of course falls a bit flat. But as a rule of thumb I think it'll do. Albeit more so for the games I tend to play I guess.

My question stems from having seen people complain that pricy games were to short. I'm kind of thinking about it like a cinema visit you know? If you enjoyed the movie that was 2h and cost $10 (taken willy nilly from the air), how could you equate that to a game?

Go ahead, be the change you want to see.

Compared to sidebery plugin (ff)?
