There is no point arguing with tankies. They are dumb and they won't change. I just hope there will be a way to completely block those users including their comments. They are polluting the fediverse.

I see unreasonable downvotes on posts everywhere on lemmy.

I suspect that either there are sociopaths who dislike everything, or there are bots being used to influence visibility of posts.

Most IT departments have the mindset of avoiding troubles instead of making things easy for users. They don't want to get blamed for security incidents. They want things to be predictable and within control.

They sacrifice a lot of user convenience doing that. On the other hand, IT giants are enshittificating IT services.

Bad if you hate it, good if you like it.

I like walking simulator and Firewatch is great. Lacking gameplay doesn't mean it is bad.

What Remains of Edith Finch is even better.

I don't miss anything there other than the Firefox community.

If we live in a computer simulation, then yes the creator could be made out of atoms. They just need to make a computer that simulates whatever physics they like.

But in a purely physical world that we understand, I think this question is too hard to answer. If they are in the 4th dimension and being able to manipulate space and time, or even the laws of nature, then anything is possible.

When you turn off notifications, they are off. That means there are no notifications to collect. I think you should enable notification but turn off the notification types.

Then, you can access notification history via:

Settings > Notifications > Advanced Settings > Notification History

Absolutely. Final Fantasy 6 is so enjoyable, with the music being a big part.

It would not be Mama Mia without the original Abba songs.

3D characters are created using 3D models but represented to us in 2D via the pixels on the screen.

What will be released first? Elder Scroll 6 vs new Windows scroll bar?

I am thinking of replaying Edith Finch because I must have missed a lot of details by the time I realised what the story was about.

I had to play Fallout NV with mods so I could neutralise the piss filter.

I don't use telegram but what are the advantages of using telegram vs chatting in a community on lemmy?

The mythical realm called "outside."

Most photos/videos taken with recent smartphones have been AI processed as well.

I am not saying "everything" in a literal sense, but you get what I meant to say, I hope.

(I am not saying that AI is changing the speed of light, just in case you are wondering).

Why do you want to remember which one is which? Don't they just connect automatically when in range?

Yeah I should have said higher dimensions.

Try changing your mindset when you approach the game, treat it like an interactive exploration or a digital toy. You might get into it more easily doing that.

I would not recommend Road 96 although some people seem to like it.

Instead, I would suggest "As Dusk Falls".

Instead of using tab groups, I use multiple web browsers. I find it much more logical and easier to access. Also complete separation of cookies and logins.

We are not too far from self-replicating machines controlled by AI. They will be built with a simple purpose: find resources and replicate.

Imagine a world with people trying to eliminate such machines, while machines learn new ways to get around any restrictions.
