All you need to do, is figure out a way to use electro magnetic radiation to slow down particles.

It's just a small technical challenge.

It's simple, if a restaurant adds something to the bill I did not agree to beforehand I'll never eat there again.

Well blocking these calls obviously inflates the numbers due to retries.

More like, how to survive without the required psychopathic tendencies.

As a full stack developer I switched to a different company with about 30% less pay but 50% more creative freedom.

Best decision of my life.

This type of subscription is actually kiiiiinda understandable because the company has to maintain servers, staff and keep the software secure because they're handling sensitive data such as location etc.

I also remember that BMW I think? Had a heated seat subscription and that's really not justifiable imo

To finally be able to compete in professional sports.

That would be consequent, but usually it's not worth the trouble.

I'd rather leave with 20 quid less than wasting 30 min of my time.

That is absolutely not correct.

Steam policy is if valve shuts it down, they'll give you enough time to download all the games and run them without drm.

So why not ask, "hey you want to share some telemetry to help us improve the product" then?

It's what all reputable companies or projects, I am aware of, do.

None. Custom roms will save your ass.

The logo in the top left corner

The icons in the dock

Notification LEDs kinda only make sense for phones without OLED since you can simply display a notification with minimal energy construction.

I mean that basically what the us did after 9/11 sooooo it kinda makes sense.

Someone attacks and then the retaliation follows hurting more people. The circle of death one would say.

Machine learning isn't the only form of AI.

I wouldn't be overly harsh.

Some logos/images/designs are simply hardwired to the function that they can't remember where the apps are if the logo changes. I'm pretty sure I'll be the same if I use something for 30 years.

Nvidia?

That would make it steeper, no?

Now I'd want to see the idle power consumption of that machine

Well you'll never get a "fair" comparison, because the environmental effects are never properly priced into the consumer price.

Obfuscation is not security, changing the port doesn't increase your security

For that to work Wayland has to be just as broken as x

It's a risk reward analysis and not strictly a 1:1 hour pay relation. No one guarantees you any positive outcome here.

Best case I get the fee removed after a short conversation.

Worst case, I have to engage in a long drawn argument still having to pay full afterwards.

Or anything in between, such as still having to pay full, but they'll make this clearer in their menu.

best case was a simple mistake and I just have to ask politely. This can be considered very unlikely in this case because the recipient has a dedicated section for the fee, indicating that they're not going to make any change to the bill. So the risk reward is highly leaning towards the worst case as the expected outcome.

Nothing about this is "new".

Evaporating water and catching it has been the way to produce fresh water since, like ever. But it's slow, and prone to bacteria.

Yeah I mean that's a fundamental problem.

We can a) trust people/companies as long as they don't give us a reason to not trust them.

Or b) we can never trust anyone but then this discussion is pointless anyway.

I've developed "AI" using prolog.

No machine learning, you're still solving problems using logical reasoning and deduction that's not intuitively obvious for humans.

No 16 gigs is ok for an LLM

On your gpu

From what I understand you obfuscate the port in order to limit the amount of incoming attacks. But then fail2ban would be a much more effective tool.

The disinterested aspect you described is the actual problem. Because it's based on the assumption your port won't be found, but it definitely will, and as soon as that happens you'll end up in a database such as shodan and the entire effect is GONE.

Man i didnt realize how much better Wayland is until I had to use a provided setup for a few weeks.

The fact that I can't swipe to switch virtual desktops on xorg was enough to make me question why xorg doesn't offer such basic things after all the years

I'm sorry but I refuse to accept the right side blindspot.

I've installed anaconda packages system wide.

It broke everything

Every charging cycle ages the battery but worrying about it really isn't worth the hassle.

I wonder how it'll end.

At some point both will be so worn out that it has to end, but Ukraine can't give in because It will cease to exist and Russia can't give in because the story they constructed historically forbids to loose

JavaOS

Nah it will still be a significant effort, but I basically get legal hormone doping.

Never had a problem tbh.

I even got Google pay to work with the right patches

Epic games is retarded.

I bought rdr when it releases in PC there, and oh wonder the pic port wasn't good at the beginning.

Tried to get it to run for the hours, including the launcher update and stuff like that.

No luck, and no refund because I "played" for now than two hours...
