i think the biggest issue is that you only can buy it on playstation (for 80€ no less) and epic. I would love to play it but am not willing to pay any money via the epic store which doesnt even have a linux client

almost every day for a year. my gaming pc often collects dust

KDE plasma is one of the main reasons the linux desktop is so extremely good for me.

if you think so too, please consider donating to the project

but not voting or voting red means actively Supporting fascism. on one side you had an old guy who was visibly getting older and on the other side you have a almost comically evil group of persons who want nothing more than to make life more miserable for all people on earth but themselves

the choice should be obvious

well thats unfortunate. Personally I'd rather click away one message per year while knowing I donate 40 euros every quarter than having the project die or degrade in the long run.

I think if you complain, you should contribute(either through effort or donation) to make such pop ups unnesseccary.

KDE Plasma albeit a bit bloated in default state is freaking amazing and getting better with every update.

Enjoy whatever DE you Like and complain as you like but just complaining is not going to fix Problems

KDE with version 6 is where it's at. at least for me. youncan use the default or put hours into customizing. gnome is nice, too but bothers me because i want to minimize, maximize and control things like the volume without barriers. but that is personal preference. choose what you Like. if you arent happy or just curious you can always Switch

until you can no longer log on with just a local Account. or your Data gets backed up for you anyway. Enshittification is one exec decision away

it is something to ponder

(i would also Like to know)

debian. stable, reliable, easy to learn

I switched a year or so ago and never looked back. there will be issues you need to overcome though. so better start with dualboot before windows 10 is eol

great games. you should definetly try them out if you got a few thousand hours to spare

too big but that doesnt invalidate using linux instead of Windows

matrix should cover everything you need with the added bonus that you can chat with people from other instances

games done quick is on

automating politics shouldn't be that hard. also Religion controlled by ai has huge potential. so physical labor it is for us meatbags

kde connect is my recommendation also

thanks, i know. switching to cinnamon was on purpose though because I always find it exciting to try something new for a while

I am very happy with fedora KDE, although I have weird flickering issues since fedora40/plasma 6 and so i temporarily switched to cinnamon (which was really easy) untiljthe nvidia 555 driver releases. I can really recommend this combination

mint is nice but fedora KDE runs also pretty well on my thinkpad x1 yoga gen3

that is of course an option. not my cup of tea though. if I need to do things like that to play some games, I'd rather not play them at all and put my time into games from devs which don't actively sabotage linux compatibility. That doesn't mean I don't miss playing for example pubg or valorant

use haproxy instead of Port forwards, that should work just fine and works really well on opnsense

No wonder. This game is awesome

you could try mailu. that should be simple and Provide you with everything You need

And „normal“ would mean a total invasion of privacy and accepting games installing malware? Bowing your head and install bootloader destroying windows on an otherwise fine machine instead of owning your system? Then I'd recommend not playing those games
