Daily reminder that IP law is fucking stupid.

Pro tip: don't install rootkits.

I used to be poor. I still am, but I used to be, too.

What are you looking at, smoothskin?

How do you avoid "hoarding"?

I dont. Hard drives are increasingly cheap/large. I have to really dislike something to delete it. I have a fair amount of content that I don't really plan on watching again, but someone I know might like it so i just leave it typically.

This should be fun; who will the terminally online hate more, Shkreli or a group of NFT grifters?

and a script blocker

Way too many people still don't understand that this is an essential part of the security equation. Many sites execute 10+ scripts, many of which are doing who the fuck knows what, and said sites typically only need like 1 to 3ish allowed to function.

Sure it's inconvenient compared to not doing anything, but it's mostly front loaded inconvenience. Once you get things dialed in for frequently used sites, and learn to tell at a glance what needs to be allowed, its really not much hassle at all tbh.

If you're in the US, should probably avoid it like the plague tbh. They have the proven capacity to make any situation infinitely worse.

PleasrDAO, who purchased it from Shkreli, is some sort of NFT group apparently. And they're suing because they have plans to make money off limited listening events lol

Also, there's non-rolling limit to how much shows in a user profile. All the delete/modify scripts I've seen work through the user profile, cycling each sorting method to access as much as possible. For old accounts, or just ones with enough activity, there's going to be shit not visible there. Have to search with other means if you want to get everything in that case.

Depends on how you define stealing.

Well you should probably use the actual definition. Copying information is never stealing. Whether or not piracy is ethical is a debate you can engage in if you want, but either way, it's still not theft. Words have meanings.

GrapheneOS yo. You even already have a pixel for it lol

equating American Jews generally with Israeli policies

What a shocking occurrence! (if you ignore the many decades of propaganda explicitly doing just that, equating Zionists with Jewish people in general)

the block function will block that account from engaging with, but not block seeing, a public post

Rand Paul, Ron Wyden, and Mike Lee.

Linux Mint w/ Cinnamon is a pretty painless transition.

There were only 3 noes, so no.

I wonder if separating relevant/irrelevant & like/dislike into two votes would have any success. Quite likely it would not, but might be worth trying.

Recently started learning NixOS and seems like it's going to be ridiculously awesome! Documentation doesn't look to be great in a lot of areas though unfortunately, so might be a while before I really figure shit out.

So then that lower metabolism stuff isn't true?

No, it's not. Just a coping mechanism for people to feel better about not being able to stick to a diet necessary for weight loss. Calories in, calories out. Maintaining a calorie deficit (i.e. consuming less than you burn) is what results in weight loss.

As is tradition.

Happen to know if it's going to be on f-droid at some point?

Were the other simple apps forked as well, or just Gallery?

Because people are mainlining propaganda en masse and it's rotting their brains. Maybe fediverse users are more abrasive idk, but the adversarial tone in online discourse nowadays is hardly unique to the platform.

I might give GrapheneOS a try

You definitely should. It's pretty wonderful imo.

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, NoScript imo. Some sites run an absolutely absurd amount of scripts and the majority are not required for the site to function. So at best, there's no value from letting them run.

You are quite likely to regret going down this route. Should do what you have to to get the drives properly connected.

Risk of Rain & Risk of Rain 2 are a couple of my favorites. Have sunk a fuck load of hours into 2 over the years. Mostly solo, but multiplayer is great fun as well imo.

Corporate news acting like they've played no role in people's inaccurate perception of violent crime rates lol

Happen to know if the forked versions are going to be available on f-droid?

Marduk desires not the barren wasteland of your desiccated viscera.

Try clearing your ublock cache. It's kind of buried in a support/help section nowadays.

This is why you really should put in some effort to avoid as much overpayment as possible.

Aurora did. Stopped working at some point this year for some reason; I was upset when I noticed the change :/

Cool, thanks for the info! All of mine are f-droid and figured they'd be okay for now. Definitely looking to switch though but I'm lazy and prefer to do things through f-droid lol
