Formerly @dylan@lemmy.ml and @dylan@discuss.tchncs.de, this time I’m definitely staying here!

Agree with all of this. On the point of not being able to find content to post, other tha poaching content straight from Reddit, I also recommend setting up an RSS reader. You can get feeds from a lot of sites into a single feed. Thats how I find a lot of information before it hits Lemmy/Kbin, and I share what I find interesting or could start a good discussion.

Soon enough!

Completely agree. As long as users keep engaging and don't into the old habit of lurking we have nothing to worry about.

Hello! I’m the same user, just moved to another instance!

Yep, I feel like a lot of people are forgetting about the wave coming at the end of the month. We’ll see plenty more people then.

Constantly! I also tend to see something that catches my eye later on the page I'm currently reading and read a bit from there and forget to go back to where I was.

I switched off lemmy.ml for two reasons:

  • I didn't want to be on the "main" instance, kinda defeats the point of federation.
  • While they were testing UI 0.17 on the instance it totally broke the site for me on both my phone and PC, I couldn't click anything for nearly a week.

So I settled on lemm.ee as it was a general purpose instance that wasn't too big, and the admin is committed to staying around. And of course I was actually able to click on things. It's nice here!

There is one! At least on the mobile site, tapping the three dots on the right shows more options, one of them is to save.

I use Ice Cubes on ios

My mistake, I didn't even realise I was on a Kbin thread! It's fantastic that we're able to choose how we want to interact with the Fediverse like this
