I so want them to do this. Big ol baphomet right on the cover, and put the TST tenets on the first page. If they undercut the Trump bible aren't they kind of obligated to go with the cheaper option?

For image hosting I would look at Immich. It aims to be a full Google Photos replacement. It isn't quite there yet, but it is quite featureful and rapidly improving.
Yeah, the protocol is called ForgeFed and from what I recall it will be added to Forgejo, then ported upstream to Gitea. Supposedly GitLab has commented on adopting it in the future as well.
Home Assistant is a great alternative. It gets better and better as all Google and Alexa get worse and worse.
Kubernetes is great if you run lots of services and/or already use kubernetes at work. I use it all the time and I've learned a lot on my personal cluster that I've taken to work to improve their systems. If you're used to managing infra already then it's not that much more work, and it's great to be able to shutdown a server for maintenance and not have to worry about more than a brief blip on your home services.
It's disappointing that this is the highest voted comment on a thread in the selfhosted topic...
100%, nerding is hot. That look of excitement and focus does a whole lot.
Funny. I just uninstalled Google Messages a few days ago in favor of QUIK SMS. I miss nothing.
A 6 node k3s cluster with a Synology for network storage running:
Managed with FluxCD.
It doesn't seem able to display in my silly American units. At least not Wind speed or visibility. It would also be amazing to have current temperature, wind, and humidity on a single widget.
I've got a handful of Android-based TVs that I'm becoming increasingly irritated with. Google regularly pushes updates that break stuff. I already have Jellyfin and Navidrome running on my network and can play them on the TV without issue. Netflix et al are also no issue, but being able to stream other sources such as YouTube/NewPipe.
I am not a fan of Apple either, so adding to them to the mix is a nonstarter.
I like Our Groceries. It's not 100% free but it's really good. It doesn't do all of those things but it's still worth checking out.
That is the very obvious place to have that and yet still I some how missed it. Thanks!
If you just like the personal heat map then checkout grrrmin_heatmap. It's a pretty flexible python script for generating them.
This gets considerably more confusing after watching a few episodes of "Is It Cake?"
This looks exactly like what I'm looking for!
The answer is still yes. Your posts go out to the fediverse and comments come in from the fediverse.
I've been using Magic Earth for a while and it is quite good. Better interface than OsmAnd and Organic, but I keep all three installed.
Just remember that these community efforts are only maintained by the community. If the data is inaccurate then the area needs more help.
As Darth Vader said, you have to be the change you want to see in the world.
I like this idea so much. Do the public libraries not have some kind of video service already? Seems like a network of library-powered PeerTube instances would serve that niche really well.
Neat. I did something similar but simpler. I put a cheap zigbee motion detector in the mailbox and hooked it to a routine to toggle a flag and trigger a notification. Yours sounds like more fun though.
Totally agree. I run both Immich and Nextcloud. Both are great.
There are some antidepressants, like Wellbutrin, that are used off-label for ADHD very effectively, if anyone is interested in a non-simulant option. In my experience it doesn't help so much with focus directly, but it makes the "boring" tasks feel less boring and thus easier to focus on. It's especially effective for those with more of the depression symptoms that often accompany ADHD too.
I would very much like this too! Especially if it can count distance/steps from other kinds of activities like biking, stationary bike, maybe even swimming.
I'm guessing those pieces of software won't run in wine? Its pretty good these days.
As an Oklahoman, this feels accurate.
Pretty sure Immich allows you to act on existing directory structures of images now. The database itself is hardly an issue there.
Unfortunately I don't have the links any more, but I did some research and there are some good privacy-focused apps for this. I recall seeing some with features specifically to prevent unauthorized access and with emergency data shredding functionality. I think I saw one that would cleverly create random realistic data if accessed incorrectly.
Oh that isn't quite what I was looking for but I've got Home Assistant and Jellyfin already. I'll have to play with this! Thanks!
Radiator heating is not so omnipresent either. I'm familiar with it, but modern homes in my area do not generally use it.
it will attempt anything. just search around for anyone else whose tried the app. odds are pretty good.
I know I was seeing drastically reduced performance before switching back to X11.
not sure why, but i read this in J K Simmons' voice.
How does it compare to HeliBoard?
Strava. Sharing workouts, leader boards with friends, challenging friends on goals. Maybe even badges.
I generally agree, but its difficult to say what kind of vulnerabilities may lie in wait due to outdated dependencies. Heliboard seems to be the successor, also does not have network access, and is more regularly updated. Whatever satisfies your threat model though.
Thank you for that! Wicked
If it's working for you then great, but that hasn't been updated in over 2 years. For something that all my input is filtered through I'd like something better maintained.
I've already replaced It with Home Assistant. Wake words are still shaky, but everything else is at least as good if you're willing to configure it. At least for my use cases.
If you appreciate OpenStreetMaps then check out StreetComplete. Its "like" Pokemon Go but for improving maps.
