People in this thread clearly have never been to Amsterdam. We have protected bike lanes, and where there is mixed traffic, bikes have preference and are actually respected by larger vehicles.

On the other hand, there has been an increase in accidents due to electric bikes going too fast mixed with normal bikes and pedestrians.

I also don’t get it, even more so after the two answers to your comments.

This is some late stage capitalism shit. Oh how generous we are, we allow you to be sick up to 5 days a year.

In my job in Europe, I get unlimited sick days as anyone should. If it’s long term, after the first year out, my salary drops from 100% to 70% for another year. Then the government takes over. And no, people do not abuse this system.

Also, obviously this is separate from my 30 days PTO.

The US needs to wake up!

Wow, that could not have been a more perfect video to answer the question. Thanks!

I expected the immediate behavior to be a lot more dramatic and for the engine to blow a gasket or something.

TOOTH

Wait, you guys are reading them later?

lol this is an “article” written by ChatGPT full of fluff and speculation.

It’s all in context. If there are only 1-2 posts per day then yes. There are more of course, but it does feel like a lot.

For me it was too much of it, and do not find it funny, so I blocked the user. But I like that people that enjoy it, still get to see it.

Alternatively stop buying from a company that dehumanizes and exploit’s their employees to death

Before it was edified, there even used to be a part of the model response

I have expanded the article to over 4500 words, maintaining the same style, tone, and formatting per your request. Please let me know if you need any additional changes or have feedback...

And yet these types of predatory fees are a very American thing (and of course probably many parts of the world I have no experience with) for the comparison below I will focus on US vs Europe.

Most European credit cards debit the full amount at the end of the month. If you don’t have enough money in your bank account, there is no overdraft fee. The overdraft becomes a loan which you pay a couple percent interest. Then eventually if you don’t pay that for long enough and the interest rising a bit more, the bank reaches out to you, and offer to close your count and make a payment plan for you. Otherwise it goes to collections.

The above happened to me when I was a student. I was able to quickly open another bank account for like 2 euros with another bank as well, and eventually paid off my debt.

This is the key!

There is nothing inherently in living with your parents until any age I would say. As long as you learn how to be a self sufficient and independent individual, who shares the responsibility of the household.

Until reading this question, I completely forgot head phone jacks used to be a thing in phones. In love my first gen AirPods and JBL over the ear wireless headphones. The battery lasts forever, and they easily switch between my devices.

I love not having cords!

In my car I just connect with wireless CarPlay and charge wirelessly as well.

I’d love to see a modern rendition of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus

I just scan and bag as I go in the supermarket and pay at the end. Much easier than staying in line and bagging everything at the end.

E-bikes elsewhere have accelerators and not just pedal assist? Wouldn’t that make it an electric scooter?

I think climate change is one of the biggest issues we are facing today and we need immediate action.

And yet, I think this is such a shit take in this thread.

Yes, all humans are causing climate change, but the Russian government and military are insanely evil and are on a path of genocidal destruction.

Arguments like yours only hurt the climate change cause as you alienate people.

Thank you for sharing! These are definitely good contenders.

Interesting. If I’m not mistaken, here if it has an accelerator then it has to be registered with a license plate and it’s not considered a bicycle.

Only pedal assists electric bikes which go up to 25kph are allowed.

Sorry, I meant that there are a lot more non heathcliff posts. Meaning it’s not the majority.

Your rice cooker is probably too big for the portion you are making. Try making more rice at at time. If it works out, you can either batch cook and freeze leftovers or get a smaller rice cooker.

Yeah, I went through a frustrating period with mine, till I read this.

Good luck! I hope it works out for you.

Can confirm. Mine have been going for 4 years so far. I have a mix of smart and dumb bulbs.

The true magic is how seamless they immediately switch between phones and laptops. If I’m listening to a podcast on my phone but need to join a teams call or want to watch a video on my computer, I don’t even need to pause the podcast. The switch is immediate and automatic to the new audio source.

Also audio sharing with other people with AirPods works really well.

That’s lovely, thank you!

I completely agree. I am planning on speaking from the heart as well. But I loved that poem so much and it was very short, that I wanted to wrap up with it.

Yep, you can block the domain it talks too.

That’s a fantastic explanation! Thank you!

I did indeed try it, but also could not find the one I was looking for :/

Yes I’m forced to used Amazon because AWS hosts a lot of the internet. I literally have no choice. If I had a choice I would avoid it.

But I don’t contribute to their horrible work conditions in their warehouses. And it’s disingenuous to say the protest is only about Black Friday. The protests were on Black Friday because that’s when it would have the biggest impact on Amazon.

Too bad that people always let small personal inconveniences get in the way of human rights.

No app, just the website as far as I know. But you can cast from your phone.

I don’t know where you live, but this year for Black Friday Amazon workers from over 30 different countries protested over inhuman working contditions. Countries included Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, South Africa, Turkey and the U.K.

And anyway, even if they were treated well, you are still supporting a horrible company that exploits people globally.

Thank you for the advice!

What am I missing?

Probably not a lot of Europeans in the line you were in. This is my home airport and everyone always uses it.

Alternatively, you might have seen the iria scan line, which is part of a service the airport offers, which you have to pay for.

Interesting! Would you care to share some of the more catastrophic failures?
