not actually dead
What happened to them being so desperate to make money that they'd charge third party all devs $20 million a year for API access? Surely removing ways to give them money won't help that situation, right?
I know the API thing was all about control and not the actual money, but they're just being so blatant about not giving a fuck about the site or the users. What a dreadful company.
Love that our text has anti-aliasing lol
That edit is the saddest part about this
Just when you think he's run out of stupid decisions to make, he does it again.
It's your instance, not Jerboa
That's pretty big. I wasn't a huge fan of everything they were doing, though. From all the communities I saw from Beehaw, they were all generic, cookie cutter ones that seemed to be trying to fill the default subs from Reddit. Gaming, Politics, Space, etc. All simple ones with the same icons and everything. I assume they were all ran by the same group of people, which loses the community feel I appreciate about most other instances.
Oh definitely. Killing third party apps means everyone using Reddit gets served ads now, so they're going hard on that.
I don't care about "monopolies" and "consolidation"
I just care about the possibility of Guitar Hero being revived god dammit
Same. I joined .world randomly because I didn't understand Lemmy when I joined, but I made the right decision!
That's a big claim when the Steam Deck exists
Bit of a different answer, but I enjoy Daylio. Very simple and easy to track your mood and activities to look back on. Not really super useful, but very interesting and fun!
Finally, a Bionicle meme on Lemmy
Yeah, I do appreciate what they were trying, but making communities with the purpose of being popular default ones and then giving up as soon as the site starts to grow is not great.
Suffering from success
You know the focus on identy and LGBTQ+ and all that comes from the right, correct?
So many people don't seem to realize that if you give the state this kind of access, you give it to anyone. It's just a matter of time. As soon as there's a system in place for them to do this, it's vulnerable to attack.
Prime Day a scam? What? Impossible!
What's 9+10?
Jerboa is my favorite right now, but I'll be buying Sync as soon as it's available.
This isn't really news anymore, and it's not exclusive to Microsoft studios. Many games come to mind, notably GTA/RDR off the top of my head (outside the obvious Bethesda titles, since everyone's more focused on them right now). GTA is also extremely close to the ten year mark between titles; RDR2 was eight years. These big, open world games have constantly been getting larger and taking more time to make for ages now.
Us Satanists thank you for your positivity :)
I've never liked the RGB thing. Sometimes it can look good (when they're all set to one color that matches the rest of the build), but 99% of them look tacky. Whenever I get around to building a PC finally, I'm gonna try to have zero LEDs in there. Just something nice and simple and clean.
I'm getting so sick of the anti-car crowd commenting this stuff on anything related to cars. Like yes, we know, public transportation is good and a great goal. But they're just so out of touch with reality most of the time.
If he's actually able to go through with one of these loan forgiveness plans without the GOP fucking it up again, he'll be one of the greatest presidents in my book. Things need to change for students so badly, and anyone that's opposed is a fucking asshole as far as I'm concerned.
God that brings back memories. I mainly used it for Halo CE back on Windows XP still in like 09-10. Joined a clan through Xfire that I played with a bunch. Used it a little for Minecraft too! Those days on CE were the best.
Shrimps is bugs
Literally what are you even on about
Discord is great for making servers for friends. That's about where my use of it ends.
Yeah, the whole no pre-ordering thing is simply just a personal moral thing. Any amount of people who pledge not to are massively outnumbered by the vast majority of gamers who simply do not care. This simply doesn't matter anymore.
Bandcamp hasn't changed at all since the Epic acquisition. Yet, at least. This is from an artist's perspective, too, as I use Bandcamp as essentially my website and main place to push people to if they want to purchase my music rather than stream.
Slowdive is one of the greatest bands ever
Things have been very noticably improving every day since the big update! I've had very, very few problems today browsing on Jerboa.
Jerboa on Android has the option to block communities directly from the post on your feed. Just tap the three dots and block it. Lets you block furry porn without having to see any of it.
You just never quit, do you? Took out Ghaul. Woke up the traveler. And now half of what i hear in the streets is how much you and your clan are making a difference. And that's why i started this whole clan thing in the first place. People are still waiting for the Vanguard to lead the way. But it's time for a change. And guardians like you are making it happen. No pressure.
Xbox One/Series controllers. They've perfected the design in my opinion. It's just nice and simple, does exactly what it needs to do, is comfortable, looks nice.
I personally prefer the Elite Series 2 as paddles are a game changer for many games.
As someone in the industry that makes and releases music, I can say that there are many problems with copyright laws, but this is 100% not the way to solve it.
Hopefully they're all a real people and not bots or something.
Major yikes right here
Why would you even buy this? Literally just buy a phone mount and use your phone. This thing was a textbook example of a useless product.
