A big part of the issue is that there is a general assumption that the execs are making the companies MORE profitable, as opposed to the reality that they are trying to make them profitable at all.

Enshitification happens because things start awesome and free to attract users. Once there is enough base they start to change things such that they can eventually make money.

The only way to avoid this is to self fund and stop assuming Web apps are free.

Not surprised but the look just gets worse and worse.

Yeah everything else aside, praising musk is enough to make me jump ship.

I look forward to this going nowhere, just like every other crypto project that tries to have utility.

Welp, the lesson I have learned from this thread is that I should feel fine with transmission in my container set lol

While I am not against it, I am sorry to see that it appears we are creating a de-facto charging monopoly. If Tesla opened the standard for 3rd party stations I would be all on board.

If it was going to be my daily drive. They are just too expensive to have as a system I can use while sitting with the family.

She made it 4.1 Scaramuccis so we should cut her some slack...

Ooo I think this may be the winner!

Completely agree on all points. The idea of "modest" is not something that VC wants so unless you are grass roots there is no way it will fly

I loved the first Wake, and control is in my top 10 games of all time. I'm not going to ever pre-order but my hype level is through the roof.

I would suggest that any scraping should either also link back or post a comment linking to the new community, ideally we attract as opposed to just copy

Right? I feel like it would be best served as a shorts sort of thing where you get 5-10 minutes of wild per episode. I don't now how it could pull off long form

Which is kinda how I have been using all search engines. I never bother going to sites unless I know they are legit and user generated.

Lol, yeah....

Check out DockSTARTer. If you have terminal access it is a godsend to kick start

I mean in firefox, not trying to get fancy.

I am fine with refurbished but ideally looking for around 13" and under a couple hundred bucks

Now window managers are sharing I never seem to be able to settle on. Currently KDE, but gnome is good, and I used Fluxbox for a long time.

Back in the day I was a big fan of Gentoo and enlightenment as my wm system

Feedly has been a decent RSS service for me. While not self hosted it has been worlds better that TTRSS. That said, it has been roughly a decade since I assessed the space so I am open to alternatives.

I have had it since way before jellyfin was a thing and have never had a reason to change. I got a lifetime sub something like 10 years ago.

Mandrake... In the 90's... I will never ever forget the pain of tulip

Base Debian is the way

It is a super controller friendly game, I haven't tried it under proton but would be surprised if you had issues.

Kodi is fine for speed on LAN, I just use the Plex app to stream my content out side of the network.

I have Usenet but also augment with torrents. The setup works great.

I'll check it out!
