This 100%! After using Linux for the past few years I've realized a lot of the crap windows has by default is stuffed in there to have something to market.
Nvidia has been notoriously bad for Linux on the desktop. Linus Tolvalds has commented about their lack of support here and it has gotten better since then but not by much. Nvidia doesn't like to play nice they only do things their way
That's why you just use a community run distro. Also if the kernel it self gets enshittified then I'm sure there will be a fork someone will make. Heck right now there's the libre kernel that is just the Linux kernel with no proprietary blobs

For me it feels like it has less destruction than 4 and the operators are just something I thought I'd like but it feels off in battlefield. None of the maps were that good either and it always felt too spread out or too many flanks to get shot from. And I'm a huge planetside 2 player so I'm used to 500+ player battles (I miss those days) and it felt everytime I died it was from somewhere that made 0 sense and was frustrating
Bro they literally have to go out of their way to make sure you can't easily update your operating system. They could just say after this time we don't give support but you can still download the update that's there either way.
That just like windows and Mac if it doesn't support that platform prepare for headaches. Unlike windows and Mac you can get things that aren't supposed to run on Linux to run thanks to great tools like wine, proton, and even waydroid. But if you wanna avoid headaches just stick with what's supported for the most part.
