That's the biggest thing. apt install xyz works on my N100 based box every time I expect it will, but it was always a crapshoot on a Pi. If you don't need GPIO you don't need a Pi.

The kernel is too old for newer AMD gpu drivers to work, but switching to a newer kernel isn't too hard. I had to when I built a new computer last winter, but I have also used various *nixes for a good long time.

Knowing how to discover you need a newer kernel is a bit tough for recent convert, though.

Exactly. As far as Linux has come in terms of ease of desktop use and hardware compatibility, there is still a barrier in knowing how to know which flavor is right for you and, almost more importantly, why that flavor is right.

English speaking? Pretty big. There's also vast portions of the internet that are not in English, but if you don't speak anything besides English, chances are you're not going to come across it too much.

Note to anyone heeding this advice: it has to be a metal water pipe, no plastic.

I own a launch era Switch. When I run Yuzu, I use the keys that I pulled off of it. When I play games in Yuzu, they are games I have purchased and dumped using the Switch Nintendo sold me. The controller I use is a Nintendo Pro controller. I play on my computer because it is MUCH better at playing Switch games than my overclocked Switch is. Just fuck off with this Nintendo, stop making your games worse.

They did. Telltale Incorporated folded in 2018. In 2019 LCG Entertainment bought the Telltale name, licensed their content and said, "We are Telltale Games now. We are going to do what Telltale was doing because that's what we are: Telltale Games. But not that other Telltale that owes that money to people, that's a different company."

Your glove caught fire because you put it in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes, when leather will readily burn at 210 degrees. I don't know how other people are pulling it off, as googling around pulls up the same instructions you apparently followed.

I never believed them, because I feared it would catch fire.

Seems like you knew better, which must make this more frustrating. Nothing stings quite like a self-inflicted wound.

As for the Easter stuff, that's really all about your personal situation and your belief system.

Don't worry about the article being light on details, they'll restart the project a few times between now and release.

FYI in the West we don't call people "dog" as a negative - that's pretty much an Eastern Europe/Russia thing. We will call people "dog," but that's more like "dawg," as in "what's up dawg?" which is a friendly greeting.

Also dogs don't kneel.

Exactly. The elected officials of Oregon failed and now they are covering for their failure by undoing the will of the voters instead of enacting the will of the voters.

Because white supremacists' arguments are easily dismantled to their core components of idiocy, racism and ignorance. They can't convince anyone who isn't a moron racist and they believe that those who don't think like they do are trying to replace them so they resort to mass murder. Because they are racist morons.

Democrats are right of center. America has no major left wing party.

Be the change you want to see. I switched things up and took a job where I work to feed hungry people. It's pretty great and I feel good about myself and what I do. I'm not gonna fix the whole world, but I am making a difference for those who I reach.

Hey everyone, make sure you aren't doxxing yourself. Comments in the Fediverse can be very hard to delete.

Billionaires are worse than everyone else. Greed on their scale is killing the planet and people.

Prior to our understanding of electricity, many believed that electricty-producing animals were injecting some sort of venom.

Very glad I don't see anyone badmouthing the later seasons of Community. S4 was meh, but S5 and 6 are top-tier. I wish Elroy and Frankie had more episodes.

Asking a computer to create an image is fundamentally different from constructing a scene and photographing it. One is using a machine, skill, talent and creativity to create art. The other is having a machine generate art for you.

That's definitely true, but Sync also fixed it a while back.

What's the shortcut to remove the data-harvesting, power-sucking leech that is Copilot?

I worked in an office tower across the street from a hotel. I was directly flashed twice and saw 4-5 couples going at it over a few years, one of which was the woman nude, pressed against the window, getting it from her friend from behind. That was a nice show.

Finding new and innovative ways to charge $300 for a USB cable.

Legislatively this is a bad deal. Two blue states become a red and a blue. Let Idaho properly compensate Oregon for the land, and let them also take over taking care of all those many miles of rural roads, civic services, emergency services and whatnot with 1/2 the tax base. I hope the folks in Eastern Oregon also understand that this means weed goes away, so the people in Ontario who have enjoyed all the Idaho cash should be prepared to switch gears. Oh, and Oregon Health Plan goes away. To my understanding, Idaho doesn't have an offering like OHP.

Hard disagree. Modern dash displays give tons of useful information that would be very hard to display legibly with dials. The flexibility they offer is good too, often having more than one dash layout. Nav screens are also extremely useful. Going anywhere and never getting lost? Get outta here.

And rear camera? Don't get me started on how a little dirt destroys your rear view until you pull over to clean it or how they represent a more difficult scenario for your eyes, increasing the amount of time you don't have your eyes on the road every time you check it. Unless you mean a back up camera and not a replacement for a rear view mirror, in which case yes those are super awesome.

Robots can be from other planets.

Did you know that if you use Teflon pans in a house with pet birds they might die from the fumes? Since we historically used canaries to detect dangerous gasses in coal mines, might we take that as an indication that Teflon pans should not be used at all?

The scratched ones are bad and should not be used. Going forward you should ditch all your nonstick pans and buy cast iron or stainless steel.

Most treadmills run on DC motors with magnets in them, so they could generate all the power you like if you pushed the treadmill and had the right controller.

Bruh you cannot apologize for Fox. Their on-air people lie to anyone who will listen every God damn day, why would they stop lying just because they're under oath?

My 7800xt pulls about 230 watts at full bore, giving me my monitor's refresh rate in FPS, 144. Limiting the framerate to 72 results in no tearing and drops the GPU watts to 170. Worth it.

Did RDR2 get an update that freshens the game up? I thought Labor of Love was for things like Terraria where the devs keep updating the game over time. I would think that NMS of all titles would be more deserving, unless they have a rags-to-riches sort of award
