i like it. years ago i did a puzzle where the box cover showed an illustration of the past and the actual puzzle was the same scene in the future

theres also cooked.wiki. tack “cooked.wiki/“ onto the start of a recipe URL and it scrapes and reformats for you

the thing that most grinds my gears is that there are settings that appear in both control panels and settings, appear to be changeable in both, but only one or the other actually changes anything.

for those of us wondering why a mayoral campaign finance is being investigated by the fbi, upshot is they’re investigating possible ties to international interests

my peeve is the chopped infinitive, like “it needs fixed” instead of “it needs to be fixed”

2 percent. I’d say the rocky rollout is continuing.

the big boxes can operate at a loss until they choke out the local guys. after that they have a monopoly and can do whatever they want.

for those curious like me, wikipedia says this was a coal/diesel plant

i was wondering what would it take to make a free/open/noncommercial search solution maintained by a collective (like wikipedia or something). search is too important to be ruined for everyone by corporations.

why limit the playback to human life? how about the vagaries of past/future speciation?

seems like a special hell to me either way.

Public transit fares are an extremely regressive tax.

The best musicians can often be seen creating the most dulcet tones on the most dirty, busted, and worn-in instruments.

When I’ve mulled over this question, placement of the batteries is usually the sticking point. Electric cars are designed to put the heavy batteries in a relatively advantageous spot for handling.

cool. ive wanted a monospaced times-alike like their Xenon here.

a woman can be physically strong without “turning into a man”.

strength of character? how about “nomadland” or “meek’s cutoff”?

I guess it could help to talk to someone familiar with it, maybe they would know the lay of the land. Otherwise it’s a matter of deciphering the architecture of the ancients. Your ability to do that entirely depends on how obscure it all is to you. Many software projects have been born out of the incomprehensibility and unmaintainability of older otherwise-perfectly-functional codebases ☺️

it just depends on the specifics. a manager (or management team) can theoretically offload administrative stuff in big organizations that would overwhelm everyone at the edge to distribute

by its glow the aimless spirits of monsters slain in the name of light return to flesh

looks like inscryption :D

running into a caring, kind hygenist was the best thing that ever happened to my dental health. convinced me to use a sonicare and floss daily and it changed my whole game. i used to think floss was to get stuck food out which it partially is, but it also busts up colonies of invaders

i looked into the possibility of aftermarket stereos in lexus and it just isnt too easy since everything is usually integrated into the stock unit (ac controls, stereo, etc). if you can find a non-stock spot to put the headunit into and hotwire it into the car im sure it could be made to work but its probably way more trouble than its worth

i gave away my dreamcast. 🤦‍♂️

they won’t replace special-purpose standalone ones because different geometries will always be necessary

overdue for a hot fire year, probably

Not sure there is a truly common package. Each manufacturer seems to be doing their own thing (unless they’re a small fry directly buying parts from some other manufacturer already doing their own thing). So I guess a common package might be “whatever’s in a Tesla”, but that’s not a very satisfying answer. And those are often just arrays of 18650s internally.

i had a lot of problems with my t7 and went through an absolutely excruciating return process. the bad service now makes me think twice about buying samsung products in general, but i had zero issues and was very happy with my samsung memory products before the t7.

i would get great read/write performance, but i think it had some bad blocks or whatever (confirmed but not apparently correctable with samsung magician) that id run into; when that would happen the drive would get a red blinkenlight, my pc would freak out, refuse to dismount the drive, unplugging/replugging was of no use, and the only temporary remedy involved a full reboot.

much grey. soothing pastel

why do these things almost never close properly
