Next they will target ad-blockers as reducing their income and trying to ban them using the shitty web drm stuff.

Its a bit strange because, before, a few of us were here and getting to know the internet and everything it had to offer.

Nowadays, everyone is on the internet but most of them are confined to the apps they use and what those apps show them.

So it seems people are being silently manipulated without ever knowing there are many more things out there, but even then, the will to explore new things might not suit them, and they prefer to "live in the matrix".

Internet mass manipulation is getting ever more developed and used as a tool to achieve an agenda.

My worst imagination is labelling you and selling your label to the companies they supply to, and how wrongly those companies can use that data, example: google search "prostate cancer" or searching for symptons associated with prostate cancer - label telling probable prostate cancer developing with this user - insurance companies denying insurance to you or making it too expensive. Now extrapolate this to what your searches probably tell about you or your state, and multiply by the websites you visit, the time you spend reading article/tweet/forum/post about a certain subject, where and how you comment those articles, etc, and being labeled according to their perceived likes/hates/problems about yourself.

E-pen used to be a joke to measur you eletronic-penis and people would joke about it being you ego and used to measure the shit you did online, now e-pen seems to be real where people measure the number of followers to evaluate a person's worth, we are going in the wrong direction...

This can be a marketing/scam strategy, you send a new book, and they send their marketed(marketing) or old (scam) book to your supposed secret friend, then re-sell your new book.

I always wondered what happens in the facility where they get "illegal" items, do they just dump the batch in the common trash? Do they have people separating what is good from what is not? And if they have people separating, does it matter if people follow the recyling guidelines?

Disposables are very bad for the environment, but in retrospect, so are normal AA batteries, used once and tossed away, regulation on those should also be considered.

Banning flavors is not, hopefully, an option, as the components of the juice don't have and inherent flavor, unlike tobacco plants.

So, you learned how to open a sweat shop? XD

If you are managing linux servers and you need to go into them for whatever reason, then using ssh is common and you will use a terminal to do so. There are some web interfaces for other things like managing a virtual machine cluster for creating virtual machines, set up network configurations for the cluster, etc.

Well, they used to copy and publish it, now they copy it, edit it and publish it: improvement!

Not sure if you can stream, but PeerTube uses activitypub if im not mistaken. https://joinpeertube.org/

Well, take advantage of the group being small and go do something you enjoy and take them all, it can be an outdoor activity, an amusement park, museum, something you like and im sure the people will also like the experience. Take a small cake just to blow the candles and have a good time with all the people you care about. Don't compare yourself to others, do it in a way you enjoy and share it with who matters.

I'm using OpenWRT and liking it so far, find a suitable router and have full control of your network

love this kind of brain dumps

Go for a book to gain the knowledge, examples: https://bookauthority.org/books/best-network-protocols-books

In the end you will gain new knowledge from doing the project.

And you can try to use AI to speed up the project and see if that works for you, and gain a better insight on what are the current AI systems shortcomings are.

Why should i bother doing something "like this" if someone else has already done it? Because you will gain the experience to go to the next level.

Its never a waste of time but an improvement of yourself.

What are those?

I tend to concern with my wellbeing, the wellbeing of those close to me and try to not concern about those things that I cannot control.

I tend to take interest in a lot of topics/hobbies and move from one topic to the next, trying to learn the most about it.

I'm a bit competitive and use games and sports to boost my ego, always focusing on more training when I cannot win. But no giving it too much attention that it makes me feel bad for not being the best I could be (It's not my main focus nor my income).

Look for the double-squares icon on your post.

Yeah, it really feels like a new kind of forum.

Before I used forums to discover topics of interest, then the same thing was possible on reddit, lots of micro communities centered around a subject, no need to host your forum anymore, well now reddit showed its ugly face and lemmy seems a nice replacement
