Leftist unity rule

The issue with leftist unity is that many of these beliefs are incompatible both in concept and in practice. These groups have historically attacked eachother making it hard to see leftist unity as anything more than temporary partnerships. Alliances need to be handled on a case by case basis over what each side has to gain from working together. A person calling for blanket unity seems like they either don't appreciate the situation, or are trying to push an agenda.

Yep. History has shown the cards in the deck. But I can however get behind "big tent" talk when it comes to activism. We're food bankong, phone banking, protesting, agitating? I'm not even gonna show my real beliefs until the work is done and we're all happy with what we did. This is not blanket unity and is a temporary relationship of convenience for approaching the neoliberal state we (USA) live in.
