I completely agree, which is why I don't swear in public or on the Internet. I also don't mind when others do. But trying to semi-censor yourself just calls more attention to the curse than your actual message, which is worse for everyone.

I've just been trying to tone down all the expletives a bit, even if it requires leaving a letter out here and there. I didn't mean to cause an uproar by not spelling out "shit" in all its innate glory.
Why not just replace it entirely, then, with "garbage" or something?
