You know how you can go to the dentist to have tartar removed? In the future, we could have routine appointments to have kidney stones pulverized and removed.

Main difference is most people don't have kidney stones. But also in most countries it is already super routine to take care of them if you do have them.

I think I just exposed how expensive and rare I think kidney-stone treatments are…

It would definitely be rare to have cranial kidney stones
