The Yuzu people are easily startled, but they’ll soon be back, and in greater numbers
I really hope this is true. I know Yuzu will be pretty safe when it comes to finding it in the future, even if it's not "official".
That being said, what really worries me is emulation for the next gen switch and if anyone will be willing to attempt to create it, and if not what will happen when it comes to preservation of that console.
There were rumors that Nintendo was looking into system-wide denuvo for the Switch, and that they may be looking to implement that into their newest console. If so, it may not be possible to emulate or even homebrew the next Nintendo console.
Doesn't it take like two months for people to crack Denuvo?
My understanding is that it depends on how well it's implemented. Sometimes games get cracked quickly, sometimes they don't get cracked at all. Considering this is Nintendo, I'd be willing to bet they're going all-in and will make it extremely hard to crack.
Nothing is uncrackable on a long enough timeline.
Wasn't Empress the only person that could crack denuvo?
If Nintendo puts it in their consoles everyone will be trying to crack it.
Trying is the right term here. If it was easily crackable there would be multiple people doing it, especially considering the track record of Empress.
Not anymore I think? Pretty sure since at least last year games with Denuvo are no longer crackable. Or at least no one is cracking them.
"Easily startled"? It wasn't a simple C&D dude. They got sued by a vindictive international company worth $50bill USD with a cult following that defends its every action in a hostile, pro-corporate legal environment (the US). The settlement alone shows how absolutely fucked they were.
