Is having an Android really a deal-breaker for some people?

I asked if people chose iPhone for the blue bubbles elsewhere a couple days ago, and while there was some good discourse on that post, the blue bubbles definitely also came up as a reason.

In my experience, when people find out my texts are green, they oftentimes would rather switch to a different platform altogether like Instagram or just not text at all.

Is this actually a deal-breaker in friendships out there?

European here too. I don't know anybody that uses FB Messenger or Telegram. All Signal and WhatsApp. But maybe my people are strange.

Same. European here, I have lived in several different EU countries and everyone I know uses either WhatsApp or Signal.

It's interesting seeing how people use two main apps for texting, and they're not the same two for everyone.

Mine are Telegram and WhatsApp

Lithuanian here.

Been encouraging everyone to use Telegram. To me it's the best messaging app I found, mostly in every possible way.

I have no idea who uses Whatsapp, boomers sometimes tend to use Viber, some random people have Signal (i no longer use it lol) and some people also use FB Messenger.

Here in Italy WhatsApp became the norm many years ago and to this day it's hard to get rid of because that's where you'll find everyone you know.

I'd love if everyone moved to Telegram, but I know it's not easily done unfortunately
