Is there anything like Native Alpha using the Firefox engine?
I have been loving Native Alpha. Being able to use web versions of apps and not be forced to hand over absurd privacy violating permissions is awesome. My only problem is it appears to run straight off of Chrome's web engine, and I would rather use Firefox. In large part because of extensions/addons.
Yes. You can open a website in Firefox and choose "Add to home screen" from the menu. That'll do something very similar to what native alpha does.
I've never used Native Alpha, but from what I saw at a glance, Firefox does have that same functionality built in through the "Add to Home Screen" option, but only if the site is a PWA. Otherwise the home screen icon will just open the site in the browser like it normally would.
native alpha works with any application, and is a manager of sorts. so it's quite a lot more ergonomic and reliable to use.
There is. Check Web App - Lite Private Browser app which uses gecko as its rendering engine.
No. Even if a Firefox webview existed, it woul'd not use the extensions from your main browser. An adblock option is available from the native alpha settings if you're interested.
It does exist, and it does use your extentions.
What is it?
That is not a webview. You have to understand what you're talking about.
