Commercial failure in this case translates to it didn’t make twice the money in the world. That’s why you never listen to investors as a consumer.

Didn’t play DAI tho. Loved the first one. Dreaded the second to the point I didn’t trust the franchise when DAI released.

How was it GoTY? Was 2014 that weak or is this cherry picking a small media outlet?

It got GOTY at Game Awards, beating out Bayonetta 2, Dark Souls 2, Hearthstone and Shadows of Mordor.

So probably a weaker year but I’d say all of those it beat out have withstood the test of time better.

Too bad it wasn't a good game...

I thought it was fine. Just a departure from the established Dragon age formula.

It was my first Dragon Age game and I liked it.
Made me interested in the older titles.

The only part of it that I felt sucked was the timed war table stuff. The rest was a solid, great game. Were there parts that could have been better? Yes. Does that make the game bad overall? No.
