My ex showed me this song and at the time, I hated it. I think the issue was more that I hated my ex, because this song SLAPS.
Also, while I don't think it's necessarily better than the original, I do think Sky Ferreira's cover of it does justice to the original. It's a little more stripped down because it was supposedly just a demo (it was posted on SoundCloud as "VOICES CARRY SCRATCH DEMO"), but I actually like it that way.
That was a good cover. She nailed the vocal in a way that wasn't distracting, which I think is hard to do with this song.
