Picom allows you to specify window border corner radius and such which can help you fine tune your Rice's looks.

If you ever plan to switch to wayland: dont be confused, there the wm IS the compositor
Most of the "looks" come from the compositor (picom) and the bar.
Or if you're running Qtile under Wayland then Qtile is the compositor too. My dotfiles and a screenshot are here to show what's possible.
