Latest KDE update causes highlighting not to work

I just updated to KDE 5.27.8 and now icons don't light up, the date doesn't light up, and neither do icons on the taskbar anymore.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Does anyone know a solution?

I don't know anything about this, but is it theme dependent or will always work?

I just switched between the light and dark themes and the problem still persists.
