Is there a way to stop my homepage from automatically updating?
I confess, I'm not the fastest reader. When browsing on the desktop site, I don't have enough time to scan the headlines and choose something to click on before the page refreshes and everything changes. Can this be turned off?
It's a known bug.
Right on, thank you.
Unfortunately, no. But the Lemmy devs are fixing that issue in the next release.
Right on, thank you.
@Dick_Justice It's a bug and they are working it. I think there is a GitHub issue already open

Thank you!!
Hey, heres a couple more questions...
How can I click a link like that and have it open in Jerboa, do you know?
Lastly, is there a community for these kind of basic questions?
Thanks for your help!!
@Dick_Justice On Jerboa, its still in the alpha stage, if you click on a link it will take you to the web version of the post or link. you hit back and it takes you back to the app. There is https://lemmy.world/c/asklemmy and https://lemmy.world/c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml and https://lemmy.world/c/lemmy\_support@lemmy.ml and https://lemmy.world/ on lemmy.world just create a post and people will answer. I've created a couple when i first started 3 days ago and i got comments back quick. Give it a day on here and you will become a pro :P
Thank you!
Wondering the same thing. I like that it updates live, but the option to pause would be great to have. The more people join the more the feed looks like Twitch chat.
