For a brief moment, Nortel Networks was on top of the world. Let's enjoy that moment while we can. Part 1 of 2.

BobbyBroccoli might be my favorite essayist. He’s so dramatic in his delivery and visual aids. I particularly love his Victor Ninov and Superconducting Supercollider exposés.

I was massively confused when he explained how he edited the zoom-transitions in the beginning.

In short: The zooms and information is done via Google Earth.

He switched to blender for the last couple of videos, but man...

I still have and manage a few Nortel phone systems for a couple of our clients, at their peak they were the best in the business but man they fell hard, and Avaya isn't much better.

Reminds me of IBM, Cisco, and AT&T/Bell Labs. Started out great, did all the right things, got rich and greedy and stopped giving a fuck.

Part 2 is on Nebula.TV

Part 1 was long but dramatic and overall one of Bobby's most fun videos.
