Thank you for posting this! I'm always looking for some new recipes

Thank you for this post! With the prices of meat skyrocketing we are considering more vegetarian meals but we've been struggling with carb-heaviness. Hopefully I can find something good in these cookbooks that can make up for it.

Besides the ones in the article, I think these are also worth a look:

  • The Veganomicon - Lots of what I would consider "classic" vegan recipes
  • Veganize It! - A starter for converting meat recipes to non-meat versions

Also just about any near- or far-east cookbook will probably have some vegetarian recipes in it. Get outside the US and Europe and the "meat with every meal" focus seems to decrease.

Overtime I have gotten into the habit of eating vegetarian food more often, and the majority of what I cook is vegetarian. My girlfriend sees the lack of a main protein the reason she doesn't feel satisfied with eating a vegetarian meal. Is there a good cookbook or resource that has recipes that can help satisfy that?
