Are badges currently functional? If so, how do they work/what is the purpose?
CMLVI@kbin.social to /kbin meta@kbin.social – 18 points – It's my assumption that they are supposed to function like flair; for instance, on a game magazine I mod, I'd add a badge so a post could be flared for a specific platform for patch notes, and users could search for their "platform specific" posts.
Am I misinterpreting that? Or is that what it's intended use is and it's just not functional for now?

I have also asked about Badges and not received an answer. I assumed they were like flairs too, but don't seem to actually do anything? That's the one thing I just can't really find any info on. Hopefully someone can answer this.
I also have this thread opened in a new tab, just in case someone comes back with an answer. I thought they were flairs, but when I tried to add various "badges", nothing happened. I'm just going to guess that this is an upcoming feature with a placeholder.
Yup, I have mine on the magazine ready to go, but I'm not sure if it should be like user flair or post flair for sorting. So it's just kinda...all of em right now. Lol
