I'd suggest a quick blast from the hot tap instead, but I honestly don't know if that's better.
This is horrific, I wish I didn't know...
When I want the ice cream to melt faster I just put the spoon under a hot tap and let it run for a bit, or boil some water and pour it onto the spoon. I could not imagine spitting into my icecream that's vile. lol
